We stayed 2 nights as we were booked in the lake dirstrict and wanted to stay longer. We found cottage on booking.com and was very easy to book. Andrew was very good at communation with us. We went for walk round Humphrey Head. Local were helpful in telling us which way to go to walk. Lovely view over the coast. We went to Pheasant inn pub for lunch and the food was amazing. Everything was in easy drive of where we were staying.

The promenade although slighty delapidated in places was lovely and a great walk. The town had a wide range of shops and facilities and parking was easy to find and not too expensive. The two parks I visited were delightful, one of them having a colony of various waterfowl which were unusual and delightful. The views of the bay from the promenade were gorgeous even though the weather was not great, which doesnt bother me.I feel it would appeal to people who enjoy a relaxed time as well as nature lovers as the salt flats were very interesting.

There’s a nice park on the sea front to walk, and a sea front pathway following the railway too, there are great views across the estuary , the town centre is on a hill, so there are some steep banks to walk up/ and down, but , I would say most of the hotels have excellent views across the bay.

We chose it because it is near michelin star restaurants. We ate at L'Enclume and Rogan & Co which were both amazing. We also ate at Heft and Source at The Gilpin Hotel which were very good.
We visited Windermere and Ulverston.

Lovely town with great local shops to browse, plenty of cafes and restaurants too. Would recommend Thyme Out Restaurant, Cafe on the prom down near the Lido (being bought back to life!) and Hazelmere Restaurant does superb food. Locals very helpful and friendly. Lovely prom for morning and evening walks. Bus gets you out and about to various towns, I used it to go to Kendal. Single fares capped at £2 so better to do than a return trip. Used train on recommendation from shop owner to get to Arnside, 5 minutes £3.10 return, opposite side of bay to Grange. Handful of shops but nice walk along the bay looking out to Grange. Dock Museum was closed when we went to Barrow, nice enough town but not much else there!

The hotel was a typical mid 18th century cumbrian building, stone built, it was full period pictures, drawings and paintings. The rooms reflect the buildings age, they aren't huge but are adequate and comfortable. The meals were very good with generous portions, all cooked fresh with local produce, the hotel bar was well stocked with local beers and a surprisingly good selection of malt whiskies for a small hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient and were doing the best job they could within the covid restrictions.
A good value stay in a lively pub, bar meals were good and reasonably priced, beer was good and well priced, staff are attentive and helpful. The room was big and had ensuite it provided good peaceful sleep each night, it is an old building so if you want new Premier Inn type accommodation it would not suit you. The locals seem to enjoy the pub and it was nice to relax in the bar and outside area after some lovely walks around the lakes and Grange over Sands; thanks.
The beautiful room, with a sofa and DVD player. Thoughtfully furnished with everything you may want. The breakfast menu and the breakfast in a light airy room overlooking the estuary. The couple who run it were so friendly and thoughtful. There is no reason to go to the Grange or Netherwood hotels when you can stay here, eat an outstanding breakfast and an excellent dinner at the Clare House Hotel, diagonally opposite.
The hotel itself is beautiful, and the suite was huge, matching the description on the website.
Location is good, near to the sea, and a short drive to Windermere.
Spa facility was pleasant.
We had towels and dressing gown (from the room) at our disposal for the spa, and the towel quality in the bedroom was excellent
The quality of the food, in both the restaurant and bar menu was good.
This was a true find,. We were delighted with everything about this property. It exudes history, charm snd character and was very spacious, comfortable and clean. It is adjacent to an old Manor house in what was once the Billiard Room. It has been very suitably converted with magnificent views of the vast beach of Grange Over Sands which is within walking dustance..
The location of the property is beautiful. Grange Over Sands is picturesque. The beach and old buildings are beautiful. The apartment is right near shops and take aways. It's a quiet little town on the night. Apartment is lovely. Beds are a little hard but this is personal preference. Only negative would be no mirror to get ready in the front bedroom.
Extremely courteous, welcoming, friendly and professional staff. Lovely, spacious and clean accommodation. Great breakfasts, food and dining experience. Really enjoyed the tranquility, privacy of hotel and surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyable break in quality establishment and location.
Very friendly greeting from Jackie on arrival and shown our room which was perfect for our stay. Room was very clean, warm, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Short walk to the esplanade.
I would recommend Grange Boutique Hotel as the place to stay in Grange Over Sands.
The location was perfect, you can walk to the shops, restaurants and promenade easily. The host is very helpful if you don't know the area and need some tips for things to do. Hotel was fabulous, really spacious room, comfortable, clean and the breakfasts are amazing.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting overlooking the bay. The staff were amazing, particularly with our little dog. They were friendly and helpful especially the bar staff. Would definitely recommend it for a short stay or longer if touring the area.
Quaint pub out in the country . Used on route to Scotland .
Lovely staff
Dog friendly which is what we needed
Breakfast was lovely and hot but lacked some usuals - toast and a second cuppa wouldn’t have gone a miss .
Room was nice with a great view. It is an old hotel and could use some minor repairs (paint cracks), nothing major. Breakfast was good (a buffet). Location was up hill from town, took a cab which was fine.
We asked for some breakfast choices which were not on the menu and they were provided for us which was great.
We were able to set off on many great walks right from the door.
Very Clean and modern guest house, Lyn & Liam were great hosts, friendly and welcoming serving up a lovely breakfast, brilliant location near centre of Grange over Sands.
