Cornwall council need to improve the roads. We are not in 1904. This is a major UK destination and it needs a footpath to keep people safe and bays where people can pull in on the extremely narrow roads. Parking is a nightmare.. the council could do a park and ride scheme.
The shops are good with little boutique finds, welcoming and happy staff, Clean beaches and lovely busy atmosphere. The hotels are expensive but this reflects its a very nice destination.

A beautiful town. Extremely welcoming.
A beautiful town. Extremely welcoming. The shops were great with some wonderful local shops such as the Salcombe candle company, Salcombe Dairy chocolate and the wonderful Salcombe Gin! Whilst there we took part in Gin School to make our sun gin which was fantastic.
There are some great pubs serving delicious food too. We tried the Ferry Inn and had a lovely time. They gave a quiz on Thursday evenings which is great fun too!
Parking looked to be difficult, as with most small towns, we were lucky enough to have parking at the hotel. So I would recommend getting there early.
This was our first trip to Salcombe, we fell in love with it and can’t wait to go back.

Difficult to find initially , arrived hour later than expected due to sat nav .
The views amazing
Very relaxing place … nice vibe .
Beds really comfortable
Spa and massage very good
Breakfast good selection , although the portions varied daily .
Evening meal more choice for vegetarian
Might be nice to have a couple specials available
Mid morning coffee would be lovely to be offered a biscuit with it.
The staff were very pleasant and accommodating .
Would have liked the rooms cleaned earlier as it was 3pm and had to ask as my 91 year old mum liked to sit in her room in the afternoon.
Overall a great stay
Thank you .

We know Salcombe very well and have been going there for over 30 years. It's a great location to stay offering good facilities and access to beach/boating
opportunities. Day visits are possibly more problematic due to limited parking.

We used the park and ride service.
We used the park and ride service. We had to pay for the car park and bus, which is unusual. There was a gap between 13.10 and 15.00 which was a pain. The town is expensive and a good place to spend a day.

The Crab Shed Restaurant was excellent, the food was excellent and served by friendly helpful staff. The town itself was small but had good shops and a good bakery. Parking was easy, the streets were clean and the locals were friendly. However, beware of the Victoria Inn when considering accommodation it’s a place to keep clear of.
The location was the main reason for picking this hotel, as there are only two on South Sands. Very peaceful, and facing a stunning white sand beach but with Salcombe in easy reach. The hotel is really well appointed, beautiful furnishings and themed artwork, and the finish of all areas is excellent. Friendly helpful staff and good food. A free mini bus service into Salcombe - a real bonus in summer season, plus the water taxi service operating from the beach- therefore car use at a minimum.
Beautyfull house and room, wonderfull decoration, very clean, wonderfull hostess and host (helped us with adjusted breakfast (food intolerances) and with our car break down during a public holiday), lovely garden view, parking space for our rental car on the premiss, close to a local pub and supermarket and bus stop. Wonderfull place to stay over for one or 2 nights on (y)our way e.g. to the beach in the south. Our best bed and breakfast in the UK so far.
Very friendly and clean hotel. Amazing breakfast and very very comfortable bed. We felt like we are home, no one annoyed us for any reason. The beauty for this hotel, you help yourself at the bar, no questions ask. There is a book for each room whatever you drink you write it down and pay at the end of your stay. I call this trust. Easy to reach Salcombe's beautiful beaches. We enjoyed our stay. Big thank you guys.
the location is lovely, right on the beach at South Sands-storm Kathleen was a bit too close for comfort at times and the car park and walking paths were flooded so we had to take our shoes off to get back into the hotel, but I suppose this is not a common event.
Lovely staff and welcome G&T in the room. Very clean. Lovely Spa area, although prices are a bit steep.
The lodge is beautifully decorated throughout. Everything was of high quality and so well equipped. We stayed in most evenings as it is a really relaxing place. It is in a lovely location just a short walk to Soar Mill Cove which is dog friendly with added bonus of Soar Mill Cove Hotel as a resting place on way back for drink.
Jo is an amazing host that goes above and beyond to provide any information that you need. The lodge is fully equipped with everything that you need for cooking etc. The location was absolutely fabulous too - a beautiful walk or a very short drive into Salcombe and close to the beaches. I will definitely be coming back.
Ideal location for Salcombe and the Beautiful Beaches and Coves. Great area for walking. We stayed in the Garden View Apartment which was very clean, furnished to a high standard and very comfortable. Jo is a fantastic and very helpful host! Many Thanks
Location is perfect on South Sands - front row seats with a stunning view.
Room was clean, up to date and spacious with excellent bathroom and good in room facilities.
Parking was excellent and very convenient - a must in Salcombe
Great apartment, well appointed with 'all mod cons', ideal for a couple, dog friendly, and a car parking space is a major bonus in Salcombe, received great customer service from Coast & Country. Recommended and would stay again.
the room was incredible and the bathroom, the sea view was amazing
the location in to salcombe fantastic and for walks
the bar loung area great temperature in there lovely to relax for a drink in the evening
Perfect location with just a short walk into Salcombe. The cottage is very well appointed and comfortable. Communications such as directions and amenities was excellent.
The hotel’s location on South Sands beach is exceptional.
The decor and furnishings were to a high standard with a relaxed New England feel. Dogs were made welcome.
Excellent location in the middle of Salcombe. Extremely friendly and helpful staff made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was superb. Thanks to everyone.
