Number 19 Guest House - 4 miles from Barrow in Furness - 1 mile from Safari Zoo, hotel in Haverigg

Number 19 is located in Dalton-in–Furness and a 2-minute car journey away (1.1 miles) from South Lakes Safari Zoo.

Very easy check in via text and phone call, plenty of contact even though we arrived after their latest normal check in. Lovely clean room, very comfy beds, with an ensuite shower room. Parking just outside the property on the main road. End terrace, quirky old property, that apparently was originally a pub. The lovely couple who run it are very friendly and helpful with directions. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. An excellent price for the one night we needed, perfect location for the Lakes and only 1 mile from the zoo we were visiting at 9am the following day. ❤️

Brown Cow Cottage, hotel in Haverigg

Brown Cow Cottage offers accommodations in Dalton in Furness, 22 miles from World of Beatrix Potter. The apartment also features free Wifi and free private parking. The accommodation is non-smoking.

My partners family live near by so this is very handy for us as we live 180 miles away. this cottage is absolutely amazing. Private car park, quiet location. Joined right onto the pub but cant hear a thing through the wall. We love eating next door as the food is incredible. There is a Co-op near by if your need to get anything for your fully kitted out kitchen with all pots and pans etc. 2 bathrooms were very clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable! Little garden at the back for my dog was a added bonus. We will definitely be planning to use this cottage again in the future! But next time for more than one night. When we went in we were actually in shock how nice it was. Very happy Many thanks

HH Accommodation, hotel in Haverigg

HH Accommodation offers accommodations in Millom, 16 miles from Muncaster Castle and 26 miles from Lake Windermere.

The hosts live upstairs and were quite warm and friendly. They gave us a great orientation tour and answered all our questions. They thought of many small details like providing reusable bottles of water and having a few snacks. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious with plenty of hot water. The home was impeccably clean. The location is remote, which was our desire, but still only about a 7-8 minute drive from center of town. Highly recommend.

don't go. spend your money in a place that appreciate it unless you wish to listen to foul mouthed people in the harbour hotel and have to put up with the rude and arrogant people who live there that's if they are not smoking drugs on the beach. the nicest people we met were the people on holiday and two ladies one of which had moved there 5 years ago. i am sorry to say we didn't get the opportunity to speak to any nice people who live there and no doubt they do but from the moment we arrived we were spoken to like dirt and the mad paint lady who was going around painting the pavements with the words no parking should really be spoken to by the local council and or police.

A small former fishing village on the West Cumbrian coast, close to the town of Millom and the huge Hodbarrow nature reserve. The beach is clean, safe and extensive, backed by sand dunes which make ideal for children. The village has a friendly, well stocked shop, a post office, 2 pubs and a fish and chip shop with a varied menu. There are some great walks in and around the area, and the 3 mile beach at Silecroft, mentioned in The Sunday Times as one of Britain’s top ten beaches, is a short drive away. The Lake District is also within easy reach, Coniston being just a scenic 30 minute drive
