Your hotel is in an excellent position for both Hastings and Bexhill.Good bus service too.We prefere the old part of Hastings...lots of quaint shops, eateries and history. But we also like the Priory shopping mall so all in all both husband and I satisfied. Will book for longer next time.Popped into Mcdonalds but the hotel restaurant suited all our needs.

Hastings has weathered recent years rather better than many towns. The Old Town area which was a little run down on my last visit has now been restored with many restaurants and the narrow streets had a friendly vibe missing from places like The Lanes in Brighton. The town centre is nothing special but only has a few empty shops. St Leonards seems to be its more upmarket twin although the transition between towns is seamless. The coastal area is varied including an under cover "bottle alley" and some good coffee shops (Goat Ledge being my favourite with a hippy vibe). It also felt safe with groups of people of all ages just enjoying being outdoors by the sea with some music. There seem to be plentiful buses to explore further afield and there are two funicular lifts to the top of the cliffs for a more scenic view and to visit the castle. Other towns on the south coast may have a better reputation, but I doubt that you'd get a hotel with sea view at such an affordable price and the locals are universally friendly.

Being a resident of Hastings for most of my life, The town like many others has it's up and downs, The area of St Leonards is peppered with bars and eateries as is the Old town of Hastings.
I can't recommend enough an Italian gem La Bella Vista on the seafront of St Leonards.

Hastings always has a lot to offer but going off season means a lot of the places are not open. But there is still plenty to see and do good variety of coffee shops restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. St Leonard’s, Bexhill, Eastbourne and Brighton are all within driving distance. George st has loads of quirky shops to browse in. In peak season the fair ground and amusement arcades are great for the kids. Highly recommended.
Maggies is best for fish & chips
Two bulls for steak. Or go to Bentleys steakhouse in bexhill for the best steak experience plenty of Italian eateries. And there are 3 great wet fish and seafood outlets at Rockanoor

We loved the vibrancy of independent shops and cafes in the Old Town, the mixture of fishing heritage and culture and seaside. Freshly made pizzas created and served with love at Monellis not to be missed.

Lovely seaside town for a day.
Lovely seaside town for a day. But one more day to do The Battle Abbey which is 17 mins train ride and very easy. A few nice restaurants like the Thai in the book shop, Ladle was fantastic and so was the Porters Sunday roast (the veg roast option was delicious). The contemporary art museum had two very good exhibitions, and the shipwreck museum plus the fisherman’s museum were nice to walk through. The local history house is very nice and worth spending 15-30 mins. The book shop (the hare and hawthorn) is lovely.
The hotel is 5 minutes away from the Train Station, Bus stop into hastings is 30 seconds away and has free car parking.
You can walk to the beach in 10 minutes or hastings within 15minutes
The Rooms are lovely with a double or king size bed, tea facilities and a tv.
The staff are very pleasant and easy to talk to.
There is a restaurant for breakfast. You can have cereals or full English breakfast.
There is plenty of attractions in Hastings if you are coming down in the summer or you can walk along the beach.
Liked the location away from the hustle and bustle but still walkable to everything, sea directly opposite, car park over the road and paid £6:00 for 24 hours which was ok,very difficult to get one of the spaces in front of the hotel, the staircase was really lovely we could imagine the hotel in its hey day it has real character,we didn't eat or drink here so can't comment,we only stayed one night so it was fine for that, would choose to stay here again if we revisited Hastings.
Although the hotel was on a road it was very quiet inside. My room was very cosy, clean and had lovely soaps and a selection of teas etc. The location was perfect as St Leonards is a town with all facilities plus it’s easy walking distance to Hastings and Bexhill. The lady who runs the place, Alison, was wonderful and had a good balance of being helpful and friendly but leaving you alone too. I loved my say and will be back!
The hotel is in a good location opposite the pier and next to the White Rock Theatre. It is a handsome building, at least from the outside. Our room had a sea view. There is a terrace overlooking the sea and a bar open until midnight. The food is good. The members of staff are particularly friendly and helpful. Unusually for Hastings, there is a car park and although spaces are limited we always found a place.
A lovely large spacious light and airy room in a gorgeous old building. Full of charm, character and original features. Building and room very clean (and smelt lovely). We wanted for nothing. Very convenient central location. Beats the chain hotel I used to stay in whilst in Hastings hands down, and much better value for money. Didn't really miss breakfast on-site as so many options so close by. We will be back!!
This is probably (for us) the best hotel in Hastings 😍
Situated between the Old Town and Town Center.
We had the room with balcony. It has the best view.
Downstairs there is the fish and chips shop. 🤤
We enjoyed breakfast at the Cornish Bakery and at Petit Fi.
Evenings in Ye Old Pump House, and around the corner The Jenny Lind. All within walking distance.
So lovely, the house is just gorgeous. The bed was comfy, very clean, lovingly decorated, very quiet. After a long day the soaking bath was great, as was the shower. Breakfast was delicious! The hosts Michael and Olivia were a wonderful and lovely couple, if we ever are in the Hastings area we would happily stay again. Thank you kindly for a great stay.
We liked the location a lot. We also liked the room as it was big enough for our family, was very clean and we had our own little patio. The host was accomodating. We had a mini fridge in the room and that was great as we were able to have milk for breakfast etc. We enjoyed our stay a lot. We would definitely book this hotel again.
Hotel is literally on the beach front which was really nice. Staff were really nice. House keeping was fabulous. That lady is lovely. Was offered fresh towels everyday. Town centre is like a 5 minute walk away. Hotel was really quiet ans peaceful. Had fridge in room which was very nice. I enjoyed my stay there. Staff were lovely.
Nice comfortable room with fantastic views over Hastings.
Very good continental breakfast good choice of teas and coffee to take to your room.
The hot tub was a very nice touch bookable in hourly slots.
Very nice hosts who are willing to help with any issues you may have, just talk to them.
We would book again with no problem the
Delightful staff and a delicious breakfast. The hotel was full of character and very well maintained. This part of Hastings never ceases to delight and offer so much to explore. Will definitely go again.
I also had my nails polished in the beauty salon and that was great too. A normal polish lasted nearly a week!
Exceptional breakfast. Warm and helpful host. Hotel was beautifully decorated in Victorian style with every detail attended to down to the last marmalade spoon. Worth it simply to experience the decor, but cake and tea on the lawn on arrival was a real highlight!
Location is great - near to the train station and close to St Leonards as well as Hastings town center. Breakfast is exceptional - a true delight. Beautiful presentation and heavenly scrambled eggs.
What a nice change from tiny hotel rooms. We were able to spread out. Our unit was in a quiet shady section. All amenities (except towels) are provided. Good communication from staff.
it was in a good location within walking distance of Hastings old town and close to the main high street
parking under hotel was fairly cheap £8 for 24 hours
