Flint Barns, Rathfinny Wine Estate, hotel in Seaford

Located in Alfriston, 1.9 km from Drusillas Park, Flint Barns, Rathfinny Wine Estate has a number of amenities, including a garden, a terrace and free WiFi.

This was our second stay in the cosy double at Rathfinny Wine Estate. The room is cosy, but perfect for a nights stay. We woke up to a foggy vineyard, which was quite beautiful!

YHA South Downs, hotel in Seaford

A refurbished Sussex farmhouse, a 5-minute walk from Southease Railway Station, YHA South Downs is set in extensive grounds and has an on-site restaurant and colourful, modern bedrooms.

A great atmosphere. I was welcomed as soon as I arrived although I was earlier than expected. The collective facilities were accessible, clean and well organised. The advice on walking footpaths in the area clear and encouraging. Breakfast just the thing to continue my journey north! Thank you.

A town by the sea as opposed to a seaside town and that’s what we liked, totally unspoilt. Quirky shops, good selection of cafes and about 4-6 restaurants open in the evening. Great sea views and walks: South Downs National Park, Alfriston, Cuckmere Haven and Beachy Head. Two golf courses. Town has a railway station (easy to get to Newhaven for the ferry, Lewes, Brighton, Eastbourne,Gatwick and London). Historical Martello tower has a small museum.

Very nice small town near the beach.

Very nice small town near the beach. This was a walk through memory lane as our children used to go to summer camp when they were little. We’re from Spain and really enjoyed the quite life at this peaceful town

Interesting location, good selection of coffee shops and eateries, easy access to seafront and beach (I’m used to sand so pebbles alarming but had been forewarned so brought appropriate footwear). Great walks and close to South Downs if wanted to explore further. Enjoyed early morning walks along seafront. Think only downside was the steepness of the pebbled beach, scrambling back up very difficult especially if mobility problems

Seaford is very easy to navigate.

Seaford is very easy to navigate. There are plenty of shops< cafes, pubs and restaurants , but doesnt seem overcrowded. However our trip was out of season. The most impressive for us was the sea front. Easy to walk along and the stony beach, with a tide that didnt go out too far

We loved the proximity to Eastbourne where we were visiting a friend. We ate out and had some good food. The guest house was right next to a station and if we’d had more time we would have visited Newhaven or Brighton. Seaford is well-placed for some lovely tourist attractions.

The Bengal Palace a really tasty curry at a reasonable price would visit again. The tea room near the church is excellent and would visit again. Some areas in town could do with some cleansing and doggy bins as there was dogs mess on the streets. Beach is lovely but no lifeguard and when we were there very windy and swimming dangerous especially with no life guard. There used to be a lovely van selling tea coffee and the best white bait we have ever eaten. Would go back. Parking is free along the beach front which is great. Interesting place and lovely walks along the sea.
