I stayed at Abberley House on my walk of Hadrian's Wall. It was the perfect location for one weary solo walker, just a stone's throw from the trail and a short walk from the shops, restaurants and cafes in Carlisle. The room was cosy and comfortable and surprisingly quiet given a Saturday night and being so close to the city. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast the next morning really set me up for the day. Would definitely stay again.
