Lovely property in great location. Very atmospheric, spotless and perfect for a quick break from London. Staff were friendly. I had dinner and breakfast there and really enjoyed the food. It was a nice break from chain hotels and just the type of bed and breakfast break I was looking for.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect because we went to Battle to view the 1066 battle site which was literally across the street. The breakfast was good. But the restaurant in the hotel was a real surprise. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the meal very much. We slept well once the noise from the restaurant and bar subsided when they closed.

Recently refurbished, this Grade II listed hotel is located in the heart of the small market town of Battle, opposite the historic site of the 1066 Battle of Hastings. There is free Optic WiFi.

The restaurant offers locally sourced produce and local ales. The hotel's garden borders the 1066 walking route

The countryside surrounding Battle is stunning and yields wonderful walks, places to fish and great golf courses.

    We have made all the necessary covid-19 precautions. With a one way system, hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the pub, clean rooms etc.

  • Any parking

    We don't have our own carpark but there are carparks within walking distance from the hotel. The Abbey heritage carpark literally 80 yards in front of the hotel has overnight, metered and barriered parking. There is also parking 5 minutes walk at the top of the high street called mount street carpark which also has metered parking.
