We LOVE this place soo much!!! Firstly, keys were stored in a secured place. Secondly, when we entered the house, everything was in order and organised in a lovely way. There were many books and DVDs to read and watch in the living room. I love the kitchen, with everything we need. Two bedroom upstairs are super nice, with fine decoration. The hosts are also very nice, they gave us the clear instructions ahead of time so that we could move into the place smoothly.

A lovely house with excellent location. The host, Stuart, sent all necessary information about the house and area(where to eat, drink, what to do...) You have to pay for parking if you want to park on the Abbey street. Stuart purchased the tickets and left for us.(£7 per day)

This cosy 2-bedroomed house is full of period features, including original fireplaces. It is recently decorated and comfortably furnished, with good-sized beds, high quality mattresses and lots of little extras for your comfort. The living room contains two sofas, flatscreen TV, DVD player, and plenty of books, DVDs and games. The separate dining room has a dedicated work / desk area. The fully equipped kitchen boasts all the utensils, crockery, glasses, pots and pans you'll need as well as a kettle, toaster, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. To the rear of the property is a pretty courtyard garden with table and chairs, and is very sunny in the afternoon and evening. Finally, we provide good quality bath towels as well as some bathroom toiletries. And you can use the free unlimited WIFI throughout the house. On-street parking is available at a cost (we arrange permits for you) or there are free parking options within 2 minutes' walk from the house.
We are a British couple - one born in the UK, one in the Middle East - who live in London, but visit our home in York as often as we can. Which is why we let our cottage in York through airbnb, as we want as many people as possible to enjoy the beautiful city! We are very happy to share our tips and recommendations for restaurants, pubs, bars and sightseeing - just let us know if you need any recommendations.
15 minutes walk from the cobbled streets of York's historic centre and 5 minutes walk to the river, the house is just off pretty Clifton Green with its tea & cake shop, butcher, supermarket and chemist.
