I cannot say enough good things about Aber Cottage and Caroline and Kevin. We had a lovely stay and we were made to feel most welcome. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay in a convenient location then this is the place. First class hospitality. Would thoroughly recommend and they are both lovely people as well.

Great place to stay, Dolgellau is perfect for families, couples and as a base for walkers and bikers. The cottage was a stunning 250 year old place and Kevin and Caroline are amazing, attentive and very friendly and hospitable. Due to covid we had the whole cottage to ourselves which was awesome so we could come and go as we pleased which considering the weather was very helpful. The village has loads to do, loads of deli's and bakeries for lunches and loads of pubs and restaurants for dinner. Stunning places like Barmouth and Portmerion are within easy reach and the precipice walks are nearby which are some of the best county in Britain. Genuinely couldn't have asked for more. Also the walk down the river to the tollbridge and George the 3rd pub are stunning.

The cottage is absolutely lovely and located near to the center of Dolgellau. Caroline and Kevin were friendly and very helpful. They gave us loads of information about the village, giving us trips of what to see and where to eat.

The room was well maintained, clean and comfortable. Dolgellau is also a very interesting town to visit and the surrounding area is stunning.

    The car park at the Minffordd path is about 8 miles away, also on a bus route. The start of the pony path up Cader Idris is about 4 miles.

  • Hello - I can see from the q&a section that you have a shed where we can store our two cycles. One of them is an electric bike. Would you have an electrical socket available that we could plug into overnight please?
    There is no electrical socket in the bike shed but it would be possible to charge a bike overnight.
