Set in a Georgian town house, Safestay York Micklegate offers spacious rooms with original features, free WiFi and views across historical York. York Railway Station is 300 metres away. The hostel features wonderful exposed beams, grand fireplaces and hand-carved ceilings. Safestay York Micklegate has private bedrooms and bright and airy dormitories, all with personal reading lights and orthopaedic mattresses. Private rooms also have air conditioning and a personal safe. Continental breakfasts are served daily in the dining room, which features elegant chandeliers and banquet tables. There is also a lively bar at the reception, serving bottled beers and ciders. The property overlooks Micklegate and the city’s medieval walls.
