We are a Highland family run B&B situated back on the rolling hill tops of Loch ness. Our home offers you a relaxed rural experience of the beaten tourist trac, within a five minute drive to Loch Ness and 15 minutes to Inverness if you’re looking for more of small town atmosphere. We are overlooking a little lochan ourself but also only a 10 minutes drive to the beautiful Loch Ruthven which is a bird reserve. Ach-Na-Sidhe gaelic means "Field of the hilltop faries" and was origanally a drovers field for keeping their animals safe while they rested on their journey to Inverness. Please feel free to bring your favorite evening tipple, other drinks and snacks, we will provide the bottle opener. We offer you a lounge, (with a wood burning stove for the colder evenings) to use, so sit down and put your feet up.

We are a short drive from the village of Dores which has the iconic view up Loch Ness from its pebble shore. Here you will also find the extreamly popular "Dore Inn" resteraunt/pub, which we use and highly recommend. Please pre-book your table (and shuttle bus if required) well in advance to avoid any dissapointments. They may be closed Mondays and Tuesdays- please check. You can spend a good day out and about around Loch Ness. Walking the woodland and hill top trails at Inverfarigaig. Visiting the waterfall at foyers . Wander around the head of the Loch at Fort Augustas. A village which has the Caledonian canal running through it, gift shops, resteraunts and pubs. Call in at the Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition. Discover the castle ruins of Glen Urquhart. Take a boat trip on the legandary waters from Glen Urquhart or Inverness. End your outing in Inverness the Highland Capital with a lovely meal at The Mustard Seed, River House and other resteraunts (bookings should be made well in advance) or just enjoy a litte highland retail therapy.
