“I was made to feel very welcome even though the owner was dealing with a family illness. I found everywhere to be spotlessly clean, my requirements for breakfast were fully met. I found the bed reasonably comfortable but pillow a bit lumpy for me as I am used to sleeping on a memory foam mattress and pillow at home. Other people would find it comfortable I would think. I would definitely book to stay here again.”

We got a private bathroom with a shower and a bath - radox bubbles provided - the room was well equipped with tea coffee and biscuits and the breakfast in the morning was lovely. The town also has a lot of places to eat and is beautiful.”

“Can't thank Amanda enough for a wonderful stay. We were there just one night, walking St Cuthbert's Way, but it is a superb B&B. I could happily have slept in the bathroom - spacious, very smart, bath and shower. Luckily the bedroom is even lovelier - very comfortable and clean with great touches like a bathrobe. The whole place smelled divine too! Breakfast was great, with lots of veggie choices and cooked/continental options. Just a very short walk to the city centre. On top of that, Amanda was such a helpful host - my partner had a job interview in the morning and Amanda kindly allowed him to set up in the dining room and would have been flexible on checkout if it was needed, plus let his parents park up to drop off the laptop and suit. It really took the stress out of the arrangements. Would 100% recommend a stay at Airenlea!”
