United KingdomThe hotel is set in a beautiful Suffolk village just outside Bury St Edmunds. The hotel itself is set in beautiful grounds which make up the golf course. There was a pleasantly busy buzz about the place with local people coming and going to play golf, go to the gym or the spa. The staff are friendly and helpful. Although it was busy in the hotel, the room I was allocated was quiet and comfortable with good facilities in the room. I was at the hotel to attend a wedding, the rooms for which were separate and self-contained. The food served at the wedding was very good and portions were of a good size, neither too big or too small. The spa was very pleasant and the staff welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Lovely breakfast, but perhaps if breakfast could be served through to 9.30am, instead of 9am, that would work better for guests on a leisure break. Dinner menu was a little limited but what they served was very good. Very comfortable bed and our room was very clean, spacious and overlooked the golf course. Great location with lots of parking and just 7 minutes from the town centre by taxi. Getaway Taxis are very reliable but do pre-book.
