Really nice. Drive through the Castle gates into your own castle hotel. Staff was excellent. Surroundings of the castle were gorgeous. Grounds were beautiful. We stayed in a junior suite the name of the room was Pevensy. When the receptionist checked us and walked us to our room, he said you have a special place here, lead us through the bathroom to a large wooden door. Open the door and it was a spiral staircase that ran up two floors with access to the batttlements turret at the top and above the entrance to the main gate. Our own private exclusive access. Outstanding! Bed was ginormous, accommodations were great, and breakfast in the morning was fantastic in the main room. Highly recommend

gorgeous property, in lovely and charming location. easy drive from London Gatwick. Very walkable property! Big shout out to Pierce at the front desk who was wonderfully accommodating to my husband and I when we arrived a tad early. He went above and beyond when my husband injured his ankle in route to the hotel. He is a total gem of a human!

This 900-year-old West Sussex castle offers luxury accommodations within medieval walls. Its stunning gardens are home to an 18-hole putting course and 2 lakes. There is free private parking on site, and Amberley Rail Station is a 10-minute walk away.

Amberley Castle has been awarded 4 AA Red Stars and 3 AA Rosettes for its fantastic food. You can dine in the 12th-century Queen’s Room with its vaulted ceiling, or the Great Room, with oak flooring, a tapestry, and suits of armor.

The elegant bedrooms are furnished with antiques and fine fabrics, and biscuits will be waiting for you on arrival. Each room also comes with fluffy bathrobes, slippers, a flat-screen TV, and facilities for making tea and coffee.

A unique luxury hotel located in the picturesque village of Amberley at the foot of the South Downs. Privately owned by Andrew and Christina Brownsword, this magnificent 900-year-old castle is enclosed by a 60 foot high curtain wall and portcullis that remains open, behind which you will discover an enchanting hotel offering the highest standards of food and service. Bedrooms are resplendent with the luxurious facilities you would expect from a country house hotel. History encompasses every part of this wonderful building and the many acres of gardens it stands in. Enjoy discovering our tennis courts, 18-hole putting green and croquet lawn, and even our resident peacock roaming the grounds. For those seeking tranquillity and relaxation, there are many quiet corners to discover under the shade of a tree or by the fireside.
