Quiet and secluded. Exceptionally comfortable room with a view of Loch Portree. Located a 10-15 minute walk off Portree centre, it's a great base to discover the Isle of Skye. Alan is really kind, open-minded and friendly; he totally went above and beyond and supported me throughout the stay. If I'm back to Skye (which I hope I will), I'll be sure to contact alan again. Highly recommend.

Most incredible home we ever stayed! Host very kind, with delicious details (like, welcome personalised note, map with the best places to eat, what we prefered for breakfast, places to visit) the room exceptionelly clean, breakfast prepared according to our choices. And the view...... the best view of Portree with no doubt. I didn't want to sleep, just keep on looking through the window all night long. IN-CRE-DI-BLE! We had a wonderful 3 night stay here while in Portree to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary and were made to feel very welcome by our host Alan. The en-suite room was very clean, spacious and comfortable and our breakfast, delivered on trays each morning to our room, was delicious. We had a wonderful view over Loch Portee and saw stunning sunrises each day. We would highly recommend An-Airidh to other travellers to Skye.

Fantastic stay here. Very friendly, accomodating owners. The room had everything we needed and was very clean and spacious. The B&B is in a great location, with incredible views from the room. Only 15 mins walk to Portree Harbour and a good base for exploring Skye. Breakfast was great with good selection to choose from and was nice being delivered straight to the room. Will definitely stay here again when next in Skye!

  • Hi there, I am looking to stay in the Isle of Skye from 17th - 20th June, but a little bit nervous that travel plans can change because of the pandemic. If i book now, free cancellation only applies until Mid April & a lot could change. Do you have any other cancellation options? Thanks, Kate

    Hi We are in Portree, its a small village. Walking to the main square takes 10-15 Mins from our home, driving 2 -3 mins.

    Booking's cancellation rules state payment is due 60 days prior to stay, we do not receive funds until 15 Oct for Sept stays.

An-Airidh Bed and Breakfast is a family-run Bed and Breakfast from our home on the shore of Loch Portree in an area known as Fisherfield, in the capital of Skye, Portree. The MacLeod family have lived on this former croft since the 1790's, we offer quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation in our family home and have done so for the last 40+ years. From the moment you arrive we, Alan, Alex and Oatie (our Golden Retriever) will give you a warm welcome, and we aim to put you completely at ease and make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
An-Airidh is our family home in Portree located just of the main road from the south. We offer quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation with room only being available in Low Season. Our location is perfect for exploring all of Skye, with the added benefit of being walking distance from shops and restaurants in Portree; just far enough away from the bustle to enjoy our stunning surroundings on the shore of Loch Portree, overlooking the bay towards Ben Tianavaig.
