Breakfast was excellent. The room (former Wine Cellar) had ground floor access, which was very important for me. The location in High Street in the very centre of the town was very convenient.

- Location is righteous if you've got a car. Stonehenge sits at a mere 15 minutes' drive away. The same goes for Salisbury.
- Comfy bed with a lot of pillows.
- Free parking inside the facility's lot.

The landlady Tammy was an absolute superstar I have two rescue boys that are quite hard work and she really went above and beyond to let us enjoy the two night stay over Christmas.
There is an entire area next to the pub where we could let well behaved dogs off the lead just one I couldn’t as he could escape so it’s not fully enclosed but very handy for nighttime toilets and we both stayed in one of the hard floor rooms which was perfect as we didn’t interfere with other guests.
Food was fantastic and my friend who stayed one night with her pawpal Archie is also well travelled and very fussy so we were extremely impressed Thankyou for having us and thanks for the late check out it was really helpful.

It is a quiet town very convenient for visiting Winchester, Salisbury, the New Forest, Newbury, Whitchurch and Southampton. Anton Lakes local Natural Reserve gives a good opportunity to relax sitting on a bench and watching wildlife birds. Don't forget to visit the local Iron Age history museum and beautiful St.Mary's church.

A quiet town, without much to see.
A quiet town, without much to see. The Anton River canal near the old mill and the Anton lakes are the only places worth visiting, the river has ducks and swans as well. The town has supermarkets, and a train station and the distances are relatively easy to walk, even with luggage.

We visited Andover as were were going to the BSB round at Thruxton. There are lots of place to eat in Andover we opted for an Indian called Chilies, it was empty so were a bit worried but it is one of the best curries we have had in a while. Staff very polite and attentive. Can thoroughly recommend it.
The hotel, Jack Russell Fox, which is a Wetherspoons pub chain was excellent. Staff and food were what you would expect. The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate.

Andover has plenty of shops to visit and all close.
Andover has plenty of shops to visit and all close. You can get into Basingstoke or out into the country easily. It is good distance from Overton, Bombay Sapphie worth a visit, and Thruxton if you are going top the racing.
Amazing stay, lovely hotel, all done with great care and attention to detail, nice walks around, after dinner you can take a drink to their fireplace and cuddle up with some blankets, very comfy bed, good food, lovely quiet place overall, Greta facilities in the room (coffee machine, fresh milk, tray with some drinks and goodies (charged), lovely shower gel/shampoo/conditioner, bath robes, great shower !! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Location was beautiful. Hotel was really clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Didn't have breakfast as I had early starts, but dinner was lovely. Nice touches in the room - like plenty of usb charging and plug sockets, and glass water and milk bottles in the mini fridge and on the corridor outside. Needed the Dyson fan as it was warm. Netflix on TV.
It was a self check in and the property were very prompt to assist us with all the queries. The location is at the heart of Andover and there are many restaurants & bars around. With a large pedestrian shopping street. Paid parking is also nearby. We stayed here because of our trip to the Peppa Pig park , and we loved our stay. Would repeat without hesitation.
The Hotel is in need of refurbishment , my room was pretty dull and tired looking , Having been informed on checking that there would be no cooked breakfast , ( Which was disappointing ) i was offered a Sausage /bacon sandwich the next morning , however the Bread wasnt fresh , The breakfast Pastries were not fresh, The coffee was good : )
The staff were very friendly and had great breakfast in the morning. It's right in the town centre not far from the bus station where you can get anywhere. would recommend this hotel if you eat in Pizza Express, you get 20% off your bill when you show your key card.
This place is in an ideal location in the town of Andover. Plenty to do & see. Was a very nice comfortable stay with very warm & welcoming staff throughout. w Clean hotel. Has great breakfast - Vegan choice (very reasonably priced - like to add)
I've stayed at the Hawk inn each Monday for the past 3 weeks and I intend to keep booking as I believe I have found a little gem. Stephan and staff are great and are always happy, I can not recommend this hotel enough.
Great location, really comfortable bed, lots of space, and the room was clean and airy with lots of character... so much nicer than staying in a hotel! A tasty breakfast with locally sourced products.
I like the fact that the hotel was secluded and quite. The room was clean.
The staff were very polite and helpful.
Would definitely visit again.
The town of Andover was super cute and friendly.
What a great hotel, so much better than a hotel chain. Staff were lovely but especially young Cory who was very hard working and entertaining. Rooms were lovely, we will come back.
THE LOCATION WAS JUST RIGHT FOR US. SORRY DID NOT SEE HARRIET TO SAY GOODBYE AND THANKS. IF COMING TO ANDOVER AGAIN WELL BE HAPPY TO STAY AGAIN. THANKS FROM THE 3 OF US. RAY

Very charming historic building, with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located in the heart of the town, the hotel’s bar is quite cool too.
