Nice apartment. Everything required for a short break. Clean and tidy with all we needed for stay. Location great and close to Durham and great surroundings. Key collection simple (thanks Janis) and Ian (owner comms good). Langley Park nice town. Cafe near apartment good food and value. Hill top pub great. Uber £11 to Durham. Would stay again.

The owner studied hotel management at the Northumbria University in Newcastle and spent many years in Hotel Management with various companies including Hilton International in London and the Far East. Has owned and run a successful holiday business in Spain and the UK over recent years.
Restaurants.. There is an excellent Indian restaurant with take out facility. A Chinese and Pizza take away - all will deliver to your door. Of course there are, as you would expect, some lovely North Country Pubs where you will be made very welcome by the village locals. The Langley Park Hotel (no bedrooms) is popular for lunch with local business people. The New Board Inn is a firm favourite for dinner with wonderful views over the Derwent valley. "Number 4" is our cosy village cafe / tea shop. They produce homemade healthy options as well as a variety of freshly baked scones and pies, plus made to order sandwiches to eat in or take away. The neighboring village of Lanchester also offers a variety of very pleasant restaurants. Less than 10 minutes from Durham Cathedral Less than 10 minutes from Durham University 5 minutes from Durham Hospitals 10 minutes from Durham train station 30 minutes easy drive to Newcastle 25 minutes to Newcastle Metro Centre 15 minutes from Beamish Open Air Museum 10 minutes from Riverside International Cricket Ground 2 minutes only from Diggerland Theme Park Regular bus service to all destinations
