We had the castle view room with balcony. Was a beautiful room, good size with a modern bathroom. The view is the best in Edinburgh just on top of the grass market and you can see the historical town just in front of you. If I go back to Edinburgh I would stay there again.

The hotel is situated right in the heart of the Old Town, overlooking the Grassmarket Square with many cafés and restaurants. The Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, the University Campus, and the Holyrood Park are all only a short walk away. The hotel offers parking in the back yard which is very convenient when travelling by car. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

  • How far from Waverley Station as I have just been changed to this hotel from the City so hoping it’s equally as close to train station.

    Our Grassmarket hotel is only 3 doors down from our City location, so travel to and from Waverly is identical.

  • My son will be 21 on 1st October and I will be bringing him to Edinburgh for 2 nights from 30th Sept. Do you offer a service that can put balloons or similar in the (twin) room? I would be willing to pay extra. Thank you.
