Y Felinheli (often called Port Dinorwic) really is one of the most conveniently located villages in the area, close to all amenities & road networks but away from the hustle 'n bustle. The village itself has the best of everything: 2 pubs, Thai restaurant, Tapas & seafood restaurant, Chinese/fish & chip shop, hair dresser, beauty salon, Londis shop/post office & play park. The marina is situated on the edge of the village, it is a quiet community overlooking the Menai Straights and the harbor where you can often watch sailboats coming in & out of the docs, whilst having a fresh coffee & cake, or breakfast or lunch at the 'Swellies' Cafe or 'La Marina' restaurant. It also has it's own hair & beauty salons, giving it a real holiday vibe! It is the perfect place to base yourself whilst you explore the picturesque countryside of the Snowdonia national Park, where you'll find lakes, mountains & waterfalls. We also have some of the UK's most stunning beaches located just across the water on the Isle of Anglesey, you can explore the coastline via Wales's famous coastal footpath (which also goes directly past the property & is approximately a 4 mile walk to Caernarfon or Menai Bridge). There are so many beautiful places you will want to explore. Also the famous Zip World, The Greenwood Fun Park, Caernarfon/Penrhyn & Beaumaris Castle's, Snowdon & the Llanberis Mountain railway, all within 10-20 minutes drive. Everything is a lot easier by car, however there are bus routes to most places, including Snowdon & the Llyn Peninsula. The bus runs through the village between the city of Bangor & Caernarfon every 30 mins approx, so supermarket's and shops are easily accessible.
