Easy to get to, plenty of parking, busy on arrival due to Sunday lunches, was very quiet in the evening. Had a bar meal which was excellent and service very good. But a very limited menu due to the main restaurant being closed on Sunday evening. Bed was very comfy and had a good shower with big fluffy towels. Room was large and comfortable. Could do with a second easy chair for sitting whilst watching TV. Breakfast was freshly cooked and great choice of fresh fruit and cereal and pastries.

Staff at reception , Ruchitha plus F & B Staff, Laura were really helpful when I was really anxious about the food and water situation after 12 o’clock midnight, as I say food and water are a necessity not a luxury, small things that are easily rectified, Thank Adam M Hartfree, Director LTD Live the dream Ltd

The size of the rooms are too small.
The size of the rooms are too small. I requested for two single bed rooms of which only one room was made available. The corridor is dirty and smelling. There was complementary bottle water which was being said that we had to purchase. Never again would I book Ibis as it does not suit for purposes and far beyond expectations.

Driving from Scotland to visit my sister in hospital so no other comments had a take-away from the Golden Siam restaurant very expensive and not true Thai cooking having lived in Thailand for 12 years I am more than qualified to judge. If we have to visit again I hope that it will not be at the hospital.

We were in Stevenage specifically to visit with our daughter, husband and new grand-daughter. We loved that we could easily get around town with Uber. There was a small market area within walking distance of where we stayed with a little pub for breakfast and a Tesco Express. I have been to Knebworth House which you really should not miss. It is a lovely, stately old historical home in the area and was very nice to visit particularly if you are a history buff.

I used to live in Stevenage.
There are many hotels to stay.
Knebworth house is nearby an interesting place to visit.
There is good bus service.
Many eating places.
I would normally stay in hotels like Premier Inn, Holiday Inn etc but on this occasion they were fully booked and I saw Abbington. I read customer reviews about them and decided to try them, I was not disappointed. The building though old was well maintained, it was neat and tidy. I spent two nights and I'll surely use them again. Also to good to note that the owners, Frank and Sophia were friendly.
Easy reach of parking, although this is an additional cost.
I felt reasonably safe given that it is in the middle of Stevenage and there are a lot of louts hanging about the town centre constantly using mobile phones and following people.
Breakfast is availble from 6:30 even on Sundays, which is great.
The attitude of the staff is uncomplicated and helpful.
It's a lovely little hotel with breakfast and all the other facilities that we needed for our short stay, but what has impressed us the most is the kindness and forthcoming of staff. They were exceptionally nice, patient and generous and they have definitely improved the whole impression of the hotel.
We needed to have breakfast before 7.30 and asked if we could help ourselves to the buffet. They said no and we saw lots of people in the bar area doing the same. We were not allowed to sit at a table in the restaurant to eat our breakfast before 7.30. I found this very unhelpful.
Very helpful owner. Nice modern room that was immaculate. Easy access when we arrived out of hours after a wedding. So glad we stayed here instead of a chain hotel, offers so much more. Short walk to the old town for breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent stay as always. Norma is a very accomodating host and her place is the best place to stay in Stevenage by a country mile. Great self contained sink, fridge, microwave and kettle to ensure you don't spend money eating out.
Woman at reception who was dealing with many complications, help resolve booking issue.
Spent the next day working in the Hotel reception/business area which was quiet, had excellent wifi and proved a very good working space
The breakfast was good. Not fantastic. Location perfect.
Hotel very nicely decorated and clean. Rooms lovely and warm. Very nice and friendly staff in housekeeping and the restaurant. Good parking and lovely outdoor areas.
Perfect for what I needed, a hotel close to the train station. Super comfy bed and right next to a huge Tesco grocery shop as well. Very friendly staff! Clean and quiet.
Well appointed with everything we needed.
Sofa was too low for us oldies, lots of trouble getting up off it. Close to the town centre and the old town.
