  • Can one get to Whitby and back by public transport?

    Yes you can by train or by bus. We are 200 yards from train station and they run from early morning till late at night about every 3 hours. £5.20 return to whitby. There is also a local bus which runs from about 9am till 5pm every day except Sunday and that also picks up at the railway station.

    Only for people working in the area. Not for tourism as we are shut. Still doing food but for takeaway only ie to your room

  • What safety measures are in place re corona virus?

    We are quite a large pub, so have plenty of space. We have a one way system , all the tables are well spaced out, there is plenty of hand sanitiser and the place is thoroughly cleaned every day

  • we need to be guaranteed a parking place as my husband is unable to walk long distances. He has a blue badge. What is the situation here?

    We have a large car park at the rear and there is also plenty of parking on road out the front.

    Yes, we have a secure car park at the rear of the pub. We are very rural and the car park cant be seen from the road. We get lots of bikers stopping here to discover the excellent roads and views the North York Moors has to offer.

    Yes, we have Twins, Doubles,Singles, Triple and a Family room. All Ensuite.

    All our rooms have a private bathroom that contain a sink , toilet and a shower. Sorry none of our rooms have a bath.

  • Hi, Looking for one night accomadation on 21 May, I will be on a motorbike and just wondered how secure the parking is? Would there be anywhere i could put the bike out of site? Thanks Simon Goodwin

    We have a car park at the rear of the building which is not visible from the road, which is only a quiet country road anyway. We also have a shelter in the car park which you can put your bike in.
