Quiet rural location off the beaten track. A great place to relax and unwind and getaway from it all. One well behaved dog welcome with lots of forest tracks and beaches nearby to walk your four legged friend. The perfect base to explore the Kintyre peninsula and the surrounding islands of Arran, Jura, Islay and Gigha. The Carradale river is only yards from your front door where you can sit and maybe catch a glimpse of an otter or heron fishing its waters. There is a lovely south facing garden for you to sit in on sunny days or on chillier evenings there is a log burning stove for you to enjoy with logs provided. All linen and towels are provided as well as many kitchen basics, kitchen foil, kitchen roll, candles, tea, coffee and sugar.
We are committed to ensuring you enjoy your holiday and will be on hand to answer any queries you may have. We run a small farm and you are welcome to walk in the fields and woods. We have cats on the property who will also try to make you welcome and may come and visit you
Restuarants, pubs and tearooms are located in nearby Carradale, just a short drive away. Carradale is a picturesque fishing village with a lovely beach, golf course and the Network centre will hire out bicycles and electric buggies. Campbeltown the main town on the peninsula is home to supermarkets, swimming pool, cinema and museum as well as a good selection of cafes and hotels. Campbeltown, once the whisky capital of the world with over 30 distilleries has now but three and these are open for tours and a wee dram. The cottage is ideally located to explore the islands with ferries close by and in the summer months, a ferry links Campbeltown to Northern Ireland.
