Despite rain we got up early and went for a walk on the road heading toward Goudhurst listening to the birds and watching the rabbits and deer. E then had homemade muesli, and our wonderful cooked breakfast arrived exactly when we asked for it. The bedroom and living area were perfect for our overnight stay before travelling on to Gatwick (40 mins away) the following morning.

I love the way the ancient structure has been preserved and is still in comfortable good use. We were very well looked after by all the staff that we met, and who served our excellent breakfast.
