Crich is a lovely village and has a really good range of shops. IT's set in lovely countryside and visiting the Tramway Museum and the Memorial are a must. Don't miss out on "The Loaf", a wonderful Bakery/café in Crich village - it's bread is artisanal and delicious and their breakfasts legendary!

A good range of trams and information about the history of trams and their eventual demise. We arrived at opening time as we were staying nearby but left before lunchtime as we had seen and done everything for our age group. If we had come when our children were young (and us) there would have been more to keep us occupied for longer.

We went into Cromford for a meal at The Boat Inn which was delicious and good value for money. We got a takeaway from an Indian restaurant in Crich which was also delicious and good value for money (there was a menu in the cabin). We went into Matlock Bath where we had a nice walk along the river, visited a few shops including a handmade craft hall where we bought home-made cheese, chutney and piccalilli and had a bite to eat at a cafe which was lovely.

Crich is a quiet village where the biggest attractions are probably the scenery and the excellent National Tramway Museum. Eating out opportunities are good but limited; you may want to drive down to Cromford.
