Friendly and helpful staff. Good location on high street. Had Mckewans beer on tap. They were renovating while we were there which made some public areas closed

The room was comfortable, very clean and plenty of room. I liked that we chose our breakfast time and menu the night before and breakfast came quickly and was nice and fresh. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The Limes Guest house was in a convenient location - under 10 mins walking from Montrose train station. I was greeted by a lovely owner, Jen who was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and helped to ensure I had an enjoyable stay throughout my time in town. Having stayed at the chain hotel a few nights before and breakfast being pretty average - I was genuinely surprised with the amazing breakfast standard Jen has offered - make sure you'll order yours, will not regret it!
The apartment is extremely comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The hosts have paid great attention to detail and put a lot of effort into the small things, but it is these things that make the difference between liking and loving a property… and we loved it! They had left us milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and sugar too, as well as homemade ‘Fettercairn Arch’ Shortbread, which was a lovely, thoughtful touch.
The Burnside Apartment is cosy and well-appointed, with a well-equipped kitchen and lots of pleasing decorative touches. The hosts left a basket of goodies in the kitchen for our arrival. They are friendly and approachable and clearly keen for their guests to have a good time. Fettercairn is an attractive Aberdeenshire village well worth a wander around.
This hotel is full of character. We loved the old photographs around the public areas. Our room was cosy, on a very frosty, cold March night which was much appreciated. The staff are absolutely brilliant. From
check in to check out they were friendly, professional and were clearly very happy to ensure that we enjoyed our stay with them.
A lovely, historic village and very nice hotel. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast choice is excellent and delicious (smashed avocado and poached egg, for example 😋 ) and the evening meals also really good (e.g. gorgeous celeriac burger).
Such a quiet little apartment in Fettercairn! perfect for us when attending a wedding nearby and in a lovely little village. Two good sized bedrooms and the lovely hosts had already lit the fire for us arriving so it was nice and cozy. Definitely recommend!
Dinner menu reasonably priced and food quality and quantity is excellent , staff very pleasant and helpful. hotel is in a very quiet area, we slept very well. Nice room recently upgraded.
Perfect location for us. Nice old hotel with pleasant ambience. Excellent evening dinner and great atmosphere in bar.
Room was cool and fresh with good opening window (hot weather)
