About Banbury Cross B&B
Welcoming Booking.com guests since Feb 27, 2014

Hosted by Paul and Michelle Scarsbrook
Paul and Michelle Scarsbrook
We have super-fast Wi-Fi Built in 1900, a late Victorian house, which has been totally decorated/refreshed during the lockdown period, and looking forward to welcoming guests back when possible. Myself, Michelle, and husband, Paul, arrived in 2001, so this year we celebrate 20 years of owning and running Banbury Cross B&B. We have 7 rooms, which are of a very high standard and homely, and hopefully provide all the things you require whilst away from home. We have a combination of single, doubles and twin rooms, mostly en-suite. We do have 11 year old Alfie, a very friendly family pet dog at the property. He is not allowed in guest bedrooms or dining room.
Michelle has a catering background and have previously worked in a small hotel. More recently before coming to Banbury Cross B&B, I worked in the local hospice accounts department. Paul has worked in a Joinery background for 40 years and has now retired. He has made a lot of high quality furniture for the b&b, which often guests comment on. We both enjoy making the b&b the best it can be, whether it is making furniture to a very high specification, making homemade jams and marmalade. But most important making our guests feel welcome.
We are very close to all the town's amenities, including Castle Quay Shopping Centre. The famous Banbury Cross is 400 yards away from the B&B, together with the Fine Lady on her White Horse. The Mill Art Centre provide a variety of entertainment, including Banbury Cross Players, who regularly put on plays. Take a walk along the Oxford Canal passing through Banbury, you can walk up to Cropredy village (a pretty little village about 5 miles along the tow path). Banbury has Woodgreen Leisure Centre outdoor swimming pool (5 minute walk around the corner), subject to seasonal opening times, together with an indoor pool at Spiceball Leisure Centre. 14th century Broughton Castle is 2 miles further along our road in Broughton village. We have a good choice of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. We have the lovely Thai Orchid restaurant, Jools the Indian restaurant, Vou-jon and V-Lounge restaurants all within close walking distance.
