There's a lot of things to love at Bank street lodge. First off, it's super clean! It exceeded my expectations about cleanliness. Spotless! The beds are super comfy and smell so clean, even the towels. There's a window that would guarantee good ventilation. Outside was not noisy, although you can hear your neighbors from other rooms as well as the creaking floor. But hey, that's normal for some places. The location is perfect. It's near shops, bus station, the rail station and restaurants. There was a problem on their internet when we stayed, but it's not what you came for at Fort William! :) We only saw 2 staff during our 2 nights stay, they've been helpful to questions. There's sanitizer on key places as well as reminder to wear face masks on hallways.

Experience with this facility was very good. However, moisture could hardly get out of the bathroom during and after shower. And it will better if there is a light in the walk-in closet.

Very helpful staff. We parked our car in the lot under the hotel and then walked to the train station and spent the day on the Jacobite (Harry Potter) steam train. On our return, we checked into the hotel and then walked to dinner. (We didn’t move our car until we left the next morning.) The hotel did our laundry for £5 a load, which was a wonderful bonus.

  • Regarding use of the self catering kitchen area, is there a refrigerator where we could store some yogurt and perhaps some fresh fruit for our breakfast? There would be three of us so I would imagine it would be about 6 individual-size yogurt containers. Many thanks. Sara

  • Hello, we are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children. Is it possible to book a room for us for 20.08-24.08 ? Booking says the rooms are "male only" and "female only", but we would be the only four people there, right? Thank you.

    As you would be booking a dormitory for 4 with 4 bunk beds, it would only be for your use. Please note that there are shared toilets and showers and that we have no self catering facilities at present

  • Is it possible to book tours to Ben Nevis, Loch Ness, Spean Bridge, NeptunesStaircase etc or is it best to hire a car?

    We do not provide a tour booking service. I suggest you search online or contact Visit Scot. A hire car would allow you greater flexibility, to visit more locations and fully enjoy your visit to the area.

  • Hi, if we plan to stay one night and next day plan to do Ben Nevis hike, would it be possible to leave our luggage in a locker room to collect later?

    Hi there, We don't have a locker room as such but there is space where you can leave bags whilst away. We would recommend taking any valuable with you or if you do have anything really valuable there is lockers at the train station.

  • Hi, if we were to book a room with you, how could we access Ben Nevis from your hotel?

    Ben Nevis is approximately a 40 minute walk or a 10 minute car/taxi journey from Bank Street Lodge. There is also a bus service that goes from the town centre, where we are, up Glen Nevis to the Ben Nevis visitor centre.

  • Hi, the mixed dormatory room says 2x bunk beds. Does this mean it would be sufficient for 3 people to fit into the room?

    The 2 bed dorm is for 2 people, from the same household, only and is priced accordingly. A 3 bed dormitory is for 3 people, from the same household.

  • Hi Do you have a safe area to store my bicycle overnight thank you David

    We have a cycle rack in our courtyard for locking cycles to. If the weather is dry, and there is space, we may allow use of our drying room although this is not guaranteed. We do not allow cycles in the rooms.
