Bay House is in a fantastic location. Just off The Esplanade and around the corner from the cliff lift. Very close to lots of things. It is a really clean, well appointed guest house with great owners. Linda was very welcoming, helpful and super relaxed. We were able to communicate about our breakfast orders via text and she was happy for us to pay on check out. Having a fridge in the rooms was a nice touch. Also very good value. I’d definitely recommend it.

Linda and the team were very welcoming and the property itself has a lot of character. It was easy to park outside. There is permit parking and Linda helped us with that. The bed was really comfortable and it was useful to have a kettle in the room. The hotel is in a good location - 15/20 mins brisk walk along the esplanade and over the spa bridge into town which was perfect for us. There are also a few local shops 5 mins walk away which were great for just picking up a few bits that we had forgotten to bring with us.

  • Hi I want to book but I have a small dog how much is it to bring my dig please

    Hi, it’s £10. I also need to let you know that we are still providing accommodation for several council referrals (people who are homeless-currently 3 women) we have done this right through Covid and we don’t feel it’s right not to continue.

    Hello, there’s no breakfast over festive period. It’s all showers apart from ground floor room which has a shower in bath.

  • Hi, My wife and I wish to book for a long weekend in September, but she has walking difficulties, so we would like a ground floor room with a walk in shower (rather than over a bath). Is this possible, please?

Hello, it’s Linda at Bay House. I’m contacting all bookings to let you know that we are still providing accommodation for several council referrals (people who are homeless) we have done this right through Lock down and we don’t feel it’s right to stop while still needed as they have kept us going. We will quite understand if you wish to book elsewhere. I also need to let you know there is no breakfast service presently and no card payment option.

Linda and Paul have owned and managed 3 guest houses in Scarborough and have run each one on a home from home basis. We are very friendly and in formal.

We are minutes away from the cliff lift and the famous Italian Gardens. Very close to local shops and amenities, also very convenient for train station/town. Local cafes supply take outs and cooked breakfasts
