We walked along a long promenade but most was shut for renovations but should be good after two weeks so mid April. We went through some gardens before there with a round pavilion and gardens which was nice. Lots of shops including Tesco express and co-op very near hotel. If you have an electric car like us then opposite the hotel is a charging point for two cars only and we managed to charge it there after registering with Fuuse and downloading the app. Was panicking getting it sorted but once done the app worked great. The contactless option didn’t work so had to use this other option so be warned in advance EV car owners. Get the app before you get there! Plus! The car park is pay and display so make sure you do that as the car next to us had a fine on his window for not doing so, even on Easter Sunday

Beautiful hotel wrong time of year to visit most things were closed which limited options. Staff were amazing and so attentive can't fault them. Room was nice with lovely sea view. Shower water was really slow so I felt this could be improved. Mattresses was too hard but nice amount of cushions. Heating worked great. Tea coffee facility good but could use more milk. Nice stay and I'd go again but only in summer to take advantage of location to the full

A pleasant place to visit with a few independent retailers, decent park and a lovely promenade with lovely views over the bay. There are also small cafes and play parks a long this area. A lot of building work on the promenade to renovate an open air swimming pool which is stated to be completed in late 2024. Grange Over Sands is quite hilly with quite an assent from the car park which people with mobility problems may find difficult. A train station is situated just as you enter Grange with regular services to different places.

We stayed 2 nights as we were booked in the lake dirstrict and wanted to stay longer. We found cottage on booking.com and was very easy to book. Andrew was very good at communation with us. We went for walk round Humphrey Head. Local were helpful in telling us which way to go to walk. Lovely view over the coast. We went to Pheasant inn pub for lunch and the food was amazing. Everything was in easy drive of where we were staying.

The promenade although slighty delapidated in places was lovely and a great walk. The town had a wide range of shops and facilities and parking was easy to find and not too expensive. The two parks I visited were delightful, one of them having a colony of various waterfowl which were unusual and delightful. The views of the bay from the promenade were gorgeous even though the weather was not great, which doesnt bother me.I feel it would appeal to people who enjoy a relaxed time as well as nature lovers as the salt flats were very interesting.

The hotel was a typical mid 18th century cumbrian building, stone built, it was full period pictures, drawings and paintings. The rooms reflect the buildings age, they aren't huge but are adequate and comfortable. The meals were very good with generous portions, all cooked fresh with local produce, the hotel bar was well stocked with local beers and a surprisingly good selection of malt whiskies for a small hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient and were doing the best job they could within the covid restrictions.

The staff are very friendly and always happy to help in any way they can. Nothing is too much, the restaurant staff especially make you feel very welcome. The cleaners work very hard and are seen working until late in the afternoon. Despite having a lack of staff because of Covid and there not being many employees in the hospitality sector this hotel works hard to make your stay pleasurable. We stayed for 10 days and would recommend the hotel and the area. Thank you Cumbia Grand Hotel.

Very comfortable accommodation for short stay near Grange Over Sands and very reasonably priced. Good sized en-suite bedroom with very large comfortable bed. Delicious, hearty cooked breakfast. Also had evening meal there. Good choice of pub type meals served in nice dining area with log fire. Nice pub area and reasonably priced. All staff encountered were pleasant and helpful. The beautiful room, with a sofa and DVD player. Thoughtfully furnished with everything you may want. The breakfast menu and the breakfast in a light airy room overlooking the estuary. The couple who run it were so friendly and thoughtful. There is no reason to go to the Grange or Netherwood hotels when you can stay here, eat an outstanding breakfast and an excellent dinner at the Clare House Hotel, diagonally opposite.

Very .. very quiet and peaceful which was perfect Spacious log cabin, very clean and tidy. Plenty of room for two humans and a Labrador. Really enjoyed the spa bath and sauna!! Fully equipped kitchen so we self catered for most of our stay. We did have brekkie one day at the hotel which was great , and dogs were welcomed in the conservatory. Can highly recommend the fish and chips and burger from the take away menu too.

This was a true find,. We were delighted with everything about this property. It exudes history, charm snd character and was very spacious, comfortable and clean. It is adjacent to an old Manor house in what was once the Billiard Room. It has been very suitably converted with magnificent views of the vast beach of Grange Over Sands which is within walking dustance..

The location of the property is beautiful. Grange Over Sands is picturesque. The beach and old buildings are beautiful. The apartment is right near shops and take aways. It's a quiet little town on the night. Apartment is lovely. Beds are a little hard but this is personal preference. Only negative would be no mirror to get ready in the front bedroom.
