The property itself was clean, modern and in a great location. Mark and Louise were exceptional hosts. They were welcoming and happy to offer any local knowledge, nothing seemed too much trouble. The extra little touches from home cooked bread and Louise’s amazing granola what can I say. Our first time in Sidmouth and when we return we will definitely return to Berwick House.

We are located just minutes from the pretty regency town centre, which itself sits along the stunning Jurassic coast. Our aim is offer guests a relaxed atmosphere accompanied by the highest standards of comfort in our refurbished modern en-suite bedrooms, as well as homely guest lounge and bright and airy dining room. Our breakfasts are cooked fresh to order using the very best of local ingredients wherever possible. It has been a life long dream of ours to live by the sea as well as to have the opportunity to work together, so after an extensive search in 2017 we were delighted to have secured Berwick House. Louise is an experienced chef having worked in both corporate and private restaurants and prides herself on supporting local suppliers whilst using ethically sourced ingredients. Mark has spent the majority of his working life in senior operational roles within the manufacturing sector. He is delighted to have left this industry behind and is now Louise’s assistant
Berwick House is only a level 2 minute walk from Sidmouth town center with it's range of quality shops and restaurants. The picturesque seafront esplanade and beach is just 5 minutes level walk whilst just across the road is the beautiful National Trust owned Byes Park..
