We visited during the Covid period so things where a little different than what you would normally expect. The hotel restraunt and bar where closed but the staff where helpful and got whatever we requested. The pool was open and the hotel made this available with limeted times per room. The hotel location is fantastic with just a short walk into the centre of York.
United KingdomWith Corona virus going on the restaurant was closed but they did personal breakfast to our room every morning and catered to my gluten free. Ashame the gym was closed because of it but the pool was open and we were in the pool everyday in allocated slots which was brilliant because we had the pool to ourselves. Staff was exceptional. Thanks so much for our stay. Our shower was a super powerful shower too!! Parking on site which is great because you don't get that with alot of hotels in York.
United KingdomI liked everything, really. I enjoyed the children swimming around in the pool. The rooms were clean and vast. The kids liked the space of the room. The bathroom was clean and there was no spot of dirt. The beds were clean and comfortable and everyone had enough sleep. The breakfast was excellent! The large room (the big room with a Christmas tree) was the perfect place to take pictures or videos. The books that are near the rooms are good quality and they can keep you entertained. The television in the rooms were really advanced as it included Netflix, YouTube, etc.
United KingdomI'd definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in York. We were given one of the nicest, most friendly welcomes I've ever had at a hotel and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very handy for the city and the pool is also very good.
United KingdomStaff was very friendly and helpful. Quieter than I thought it would be. Wonderful blackout curtains. Decent shower. Easy walk or bus ride to the heart of York. Good choice for budget travelers.
