Old farming town regenerated by a University. Easy connections around the North West by train, bus or car. Some excellent restaurants and pubs, to suit all tastes and budget. Various supermarkets and local market day on Thursdays.

The shower is really nice and the washrooms are well maintained !!! The rooms have everything you can ask for and the place is very very nice for the listed price !! The hosts are warm and welcoming !! Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in and around the area …

There was a lift to the first floor and we were assured a room would be available on that floor. Staff were accomdating and the selection of beers was great. We loved being able to go to the restaurant and then just stumble to bed afterwards - no need for a taxi or a dediacted driver!
