Henley is such a memorable town for us as I was at school there and grew up in the area. So for me it is well worth visiting.
We were disappointed with the river as it has (like so many other rivers) been flooded this year so we could not go for our usual walk along the River Thames which is so amazing.

Great place to walk around and see the boats on the river Thames, lovely old pubs and restaurants.
Probably would get very overwhelmed when the Henley regatta is on. Car parks could get a little overcrowded.

Fantastic location for the Rewind South 80's festival, didn't get to experience much that the rest of the town had to offer.
Seemed to be a general disconnect between the event management who knew how many tickets were sold, and the council/private business in providing services to accommodate that size crowd. For example: (1) event itself was cashless, but riverboat transport to & from only took cash, and no working ATM's in the town. This caused a lot of issues for a lot of people. (2) No temporary lighting along the river path despite knowing the path would be used by hundreds of people each night in the dark. The path is very narrow and not maintained in several places. (3) Disconnect between the advertised times of the boat service in the event literature vs the actual running times, left groups of people stranded last thing at night, then having to walk back along that very dark path

Beautiful town, with lovely small shops and very good restaurants. My daughter just moved here so we are delighted. It feels very safe and it is very clean. The Regatta was on so we enjoyed one day there and currently there is a music festival on. SO its rather busy right now.

A lovely little town to walk around especially along the river. You don’t need more than half a day unless you want to explore places outside the center. It has good boutique shops but no high street cheap fashion brands as it’s quite an upmarket little town. But it does have Boots, W H Smiths and Starbucks and a lot of good choices for eating. Have breakfast at Bijans, take a long walk along the river, lunch at The Bull, walk around the town and the dinner at The Giggling Squid.

We ate at the Giggling Squid one evening and the food here was really good (waiting staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu choices). We also ate at Zizi; although these restaurants are available in most towns the food here was again really good.
Walking around Henley was a real delight given the wonderful weather, not sure it would be quite as palatable if it were raining.
Would recommend hiring a boat if your budget allows as this was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

We loved the cozyness of the venue. It had a lovely community feel about, organic and rustic. It was real, not like the standard stuff in the chain hotels, which are great for their purpose, but we wanted to stay somewhere independent so we could support someone's livelihood and a local community.. It was warm, friendly, clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The room was lovely too. Location was beautiful. Staff professional and friendly. 10/10 all round.
Room was a great size. Good views and decent storage. Very comfy bed.
Location very good. Very central. Hight St and river moments away.
Breakfast excellent. Good service though we were practically the only ones in the dining room, which is huge. I imagine that when the hotel is full, the queue for the toaster would be very long!
Staff at the front desk were extremely helpful.
A great location in pretty Henleys Market Square. Hotel is very modern, clean, bright and airy. Loved my room with a roll top bath and separate toilet and shower. Great selection of tea and coffee in the room. Spotlessly clean. Lovely, friendly staff and a delicious, huge breakfast. Lovely place to stay.
Period Henley is a tastefully decorated, well appointed property in the centre of the beautiful market town of Henley on Thames. The car space makes exploring the greater area easy and when you are done everything in the town is an easy walk. Sian is a great host who communicates all information well.
A lovely room in a lovely setting. Had a nice meal and then a delicious breakfast, both in the club house. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely coming back to stay and explore Henley on Thames more, which we drove to but will walk to next time.
Fabulous location right on the banks of the Thames and within walking distance of the centre of Henley on Thames. Plentiful Parking. Spacious and attractive decor. Great views from our room and good facilities. Very comfortable good sized large bed.
Stunning members club - boutique hotel with direct waterfront at one of the loveliest stretches on the River Thames - at Henley!!!
A treasure that should not be missed - beautiful hotel and property - steps away fro the town center
Charming spot in a charming community. It can't help but be close to everything. Kitchen with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, and implements. A clothes washer (no dryer) is built into the kitchen. Outdoor area available.
This was our 3rd stay at the Greenlands Hotel and as before the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We need to be in Henley again at some point in the summer and we will choose the Greenlands Hotel again for our stay.
We had a nice room at the front of the hotel. Large & comfortable.
The staff were particularly helpful as they moved us from a room overlooking some air conditioning vents on the side of the hotel.
Obviously a lot spent on the hotel recently.
The hotel is well presented.
The staff were very good and very courteous.
The wifi worked very well.
