Lovely location, near the main road which I thought at first was noisy but as soon as I shut the window and the night came in it was very quiet. Liked the room and option of using the communal kitchen/dining area. Very comfortable pillows and duvet. Enough space on floor for my dogs' bed. Only stayed the one night but would stay again.

Company info

Family run Guest House since 1987. Now run by Heather & Wayne. Also at Blairmains Farm weare the home to our family run charity, Ponies Help Children At Blairmains we are dog friendly, however, as of 2020 we will be charging a small fee per dog, with a maximum of 2 dogs per room. If you are bringing a dog please contact us in advance so we are aware. Thank you.

A warm Scottish welcome awaits you at this family run, VisitScotland 3 star Guest House integrated into an old farmhouse. We have 5 bedrooms, all en-suite and a full cooked scottish breakfast is included with the price. The Guest house is in the perfect location just off junction 5 of the M8, between Edinburgh & Glasgow. To the north is Stirling & The Trossachs and to the south is the Borders, making Blairmains Guest House the ideal location for touring Central Scotland. Dogs are welcome but a small charge is applicable. Vibrant and energetic, nearby Glasgow is renowned for its hospitality and warmth. With a unique cultural and industrial heritage, Glasgow was formerly crowned both the European City of Culture and the UK’s City of Architecture and Design. The city has become famous for the Art Nouveau ‘Glasgow Style’, most notably for the work of architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The famous River Clyde has breathed life and inspiration into the area with a strong history of shipbuilding. On the other side of the M8, a 40 minute drive away is Edinburgh. The closest major towns are Bathgate (6 miles) and Livingston (10 miles). Major towns within North Lanarkshire, such as Wishaw, Airdrie, Motherwell, Coatbridge and Bellshill are all around 10 to 15 miles to the west.
