A beautiful village location with old world charm and near to the M6 corridor. The owners couldn’t do enough for you as well as the staff and the beer selection was impeccable.

We got a very warm welcome as soon as we arrived. After 3 days, we felt a part of the place. The food was exceptional. I felt very at home and relaxed. If you like posh hotels, this isn't for you. If you like real people and a cosy country vibe, this is the perfect place. We will definitely be back again. Just what we needed.

First of all, this is a super pub with excellent food. Bar sevice was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was a very good full English or a variation on that. Good choice of eggs, great bacon, etc. The bedrooms are a bit old-fashioned, but quiet and comfortable enough.

The hosts and staff we're such absolutely lovely people. They made us feel like part of the family. So warm and friendly. Location was beautiful, the Inn was warm and cosy and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone, couples, families, pet owners, were all welcomed. We will certainly visit again when in the UK.

Very nice, cooked breakfast; on my first stay there my Cocker Spaniel, Sophia, got her own sausage for breakfast!! Lovely pot of coffee, too. Cooked swiftly to order and plenty of time to eat before checking out time.

A traditional family-owned pub in Greystoke, The Boot and Shoe is only a 10-minute drive from the M6 motorway. The Lake District National Park is around 30 minutes’ drive away. There is free Wi-Fi and free parking on site.

Rooms retain charming old features like timber framing and exposed brick walls. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and facilities for making tea and coffee.

A full English breakfast is provided each morning, and lunch and evening meals are served every day. You can make your own panini, and in the evenings more hearty options are available.

There is a large garden with a patio, where you can relax in warmer weather. The Boot and Shoe also hosts frequent live music, as well as quiz nights and other entertainment.

Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.1 for a two-person trip.
