A nice, green, leafy part of London, close to Eltham High Street, away from busy traffic but very accessible to London, (about 30 minutes away by train at Eltham Station or by tube and bus.) Many local shops and restaurants to try out just minutes away on the high street. This part of South London is especially known for attractions such as the Eltham Palace, where the famous King Henry VIII grew up at, (for all of you, history lovers!) Not too far away, you can find the world-famous River Thames in Greenwich where you will also find the old relic from the 1800’s the Cutty Sark British tea clipper ship, which has been converted into a museum. The national maritime museum, with its massive collection of history relating to how maritime life worked in 17th century Britain. Also situated at Greenwich is the University of London, formerly known as the Old Royal Naval College with it’s rich history. On the turn of the millennium, the O2 entertainment arena was built on the Greenwich peninsula hosting many famous musicians and artists from all around the world, seating tens of thousands at a time with world breaking records!
