Breakfast was excellent. Loads of choice, all freshly prepared and 'enthusiastically' served by the friendly staff. Eat as much as you like. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools available. They do not serve evening meals unless requested in advance. We did not realise this but Tom, our night manager, pulled out all the stops to organise us a takeaway, even setting a table for 12 and providing the wine. Excellent service.

In 3 acres of mature gardens, this beautiful Victorian country house on the Isle of Wight offers stunning views over Sandown and Shanklin Bay. Bourne Hall Country Hotel has 2 swimming pools and a spa bath.
The rooms feature Freeview TV and some have countryside or sea views. Each room with attached bathroom also has a CD player and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast is included in some room rates, and options range from a full English to fresh fruit and pastries.
There is a large indoor pool, a seasonal outdoor pool, and a sauna. Beauty therapies and treatments are available, and there is free WiFi and free public parking on site.
The building was built in the 1860s, and is in an elevated position on the edge of Luccombe Downs. The large guest lounge has garden views.
Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 8.5 for a two-person trip.
