  • What about a border collie 15months for one night ?

A young Collie would need to be kept on a lead and in his cage during the night. His needle like teeth at this age would shred through anything.

  • We are enquiring about the Wigwam with 2 bedrooms. Does a shared bathroom mean you’re sharing with other guests? Is it a shared kitchen?

Since Covid, we only allow one pod to use these facilities to ensure no one is crossing over. The pods are separate and completely safe they are cleaned to the highest standard, following hospitality guidelines.

Glamping at its best! Our wooden pods are extremely comfortable, they are heated and sleep up to 4 persons. Please take your own sleeping bags, or bedding, pillows or hire these from the site at an additional charge. The pods have a raised platform with a luxury permeable mattress. They have modern comforts with heating, TV and fairy lights to illuminate the pod at night. Each pod has its own camp fire and we supply wood and kindle, burgers to cook over the fire etc You are going to experience beautiful open countryside with sheep or cows close by. There is opportunity to collect the fresh eggs and feed the hens.

I am from this farming area in Caithness. the people are open and friendly. Caithness is beautiful, and quiet, plenty open spaces to enjoy walks on Dunnet Beach, Duncansby Stacks & around Dunnet Head. Various boat trips around the coastline or across to Orkney. At night from October till April you may be lucky to see the Northern Lights, or wonderful constellations of stars.

We are situated in the North of Scotland. We have 4 Pods which are positioned on the perimeter of our farm in open countryside. We are 10 miles from Wick 10 miles from Thurso and 12 miles from John O' Groats. There are fabulous walks and coastal paths where you can clearly see the birdlife eg. Puffins, Guillemots and Fulmur and sealife, seals or orcas while you play on the beach. You could visit The Castle of Mey - late Queen Mother’s home and gardens. Or the Puffin Croft near John O’ Groats. This area is abundant in quality produce whether seafood or lamb and beef. There is a selection of excellent eateries in Caithness. Locally produced Whisky and Gin several of which have been recognised and hold top awards. This area is steeped in heritage and you will find both towns have fabulous museums to explore. Also craft shops to peruse.
