Breakfast was extremely well cooked, unhurried covid friendly the shower was hot powerful & roomy the host's were happy to help with linking devices etc to tv nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Lot's of great places to eat "try the Drunken Duck" make sure you book it's even worth driving through the floods!

Everything - there was nothing to dislike and we will be staying again. All the staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfasts were good with a great selection to choose from. The room (Room 1) was well equipped, all toiletries, towels, a towel dressing gown and disposable slippers provided; and being on the ground floor made it good for access with / for our dog. Spotlessly clean and well maintained.

  • Hello, is the hot tub overlooked by other guests? Thank you.

    Thank you for your inquiry. The Hot tub Is situated to the bottom of the garden in its own private area with an adjoining room. depending on the weather, a sail is fastened above (at present) You have unspoilt views across the field and fells.

  • Hi, I am thinking of booking a weekend away at your B&B however I have noted that dogs are not allowed in the breakfast area. I wouldn't want to leave my dog in the room on his own while we eat breakfast so is it possible to have it in our room? Or is there an alternative area we can use to eat?

    Hi, Due to COVID we can't allow dogs in the breakfast room. what most people do is a relay for breakfast or even sometimes leave the dog in the car. The is only me (Frank) and Jo, cooking and serving breakfast. Many thanks. Brantholme.

  • Hi, is there a specific room that I would need to book if we are bringing our dog? Also, will she be able to sit with us at breakfast plz?

    All our rooms are dog-friendly. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed in the breakfast room. Health and safety allergies etc. Some people are afraid of dogs. You can relay breakfast, put her in the car, or if she's ok left in the room while you dine.

  • What time can you check in?

    Our check-in times are 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm. You are welcome to arrive earlier and leave your car in our carpark and we are only 2 minutes from Ambleside town centre. Many thanks Brantholme

We have recently redecorated all the rooms whilst in lockdown. We have decorated the rooms to make our guests feel even more comfortable and relaxing, with Laura Ashley fittings and wallpaper. We have also installed a Hot Tub( the hot tub needs to be pre-booked and paid for in advance please contact the property directly to book). The Summerhouse is the perfect way to unwind with amazing views.
