I was suffering from a cold that had been keeping me awake all night when at home, but slept like a log at Bressenden. The cooked breakfast was made to order and much appreciated.
United KingdomBressenden is a beautiful old English cottage recently converted into a B&B that is so lovely and quaint. Corinne is a great host, and the place is immaculate. The cottage and the property are stunning with loads of character. The room we stayed in, the East Wing, is large, and very comfortable, perfect for a small family of 3. The breakfast options are delicious with homemade breads, yogurts, cereals and a hot breakfast. We absolutely loved our 3 days there, so peaceful and refreshing. The location is amazing as well. So quiet yet so close to a few quintessential English villages with good dining options. Great place to explore the region from.

This is a character property with an interesting family history, wonderful gardens and view. One of the best small towns was only 3.5 miles, Tenterden. This had an excellent Turkish resturant serving Turkish wines which are hard to get. Finally the owner was very friendly and made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

Bressenden B&B is situated in a quiet and unspoilt part of the Weald of Kent, with easy access to the coast and conveniently placed for the many attractions in the area, such as Sissinghurst. The ten-acre garden and woodlands are an ideal base from which to explore the extensive woods and many footpaths in the area. For cyclists, the house is conveniently situated on Route 18 of the National Cycling Network, and bicycles can be stored under cover. Guests enjoy homemade sourdough bread, homemade yoghurt and eggs from our own hens. More information at the property's website.
The hostess is half Belgian and particularly welcomes French-speaking guests.
The area is predominantly rural, with woodlands and fields surrounding picturesque small villages and small towns, the nearest being Tenterden. The Romney Marsh area lies to the southeast, extending to the coast. To the north are the Downs. Most of the villages contain traditional pubs with fine restaurants.
