Everything was perfect. Such a beautiful location and very relaxing. Lots of good walking straight from the hotel. The staff work extremely hard and are very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The food was tasty and filling beware of the huge portion of pie ( it comes with a warning)

Amid the beautiful, peaceful scenery of the Lake District’s Buttermere Fells, the Bridge Hotel is set between Buttermere and Crummock Water. It offers individually styled rooms and a charming traditional bar and restaurant.

Bright rooms all have a private bathroom and boast unique furnishings. They also all include a telephone and free tea and coffee making facilities.

  • Do all your rooms come without televisions?

    Hi, We do not have any televisions in the Hotel at all, including the rooms and public areas. We do, however have an amazing 360 degrees stunning visual surrounds.

  • I worked at bridge hotel all winter 1974 /1975 doing the plumbing work for the owner then Wilf Jackson . Do you know what happened to him after he sold Bridge and bought the Globe hotel at Cockermouth, thank you.

    Good morning, Thank you for the question. I spoke to Adrian McGuire (his parents bought it form Wilf) and he isn't sure where Wilf ended up - he thinks possibly North Yorkshire but isn't sure. We don't have many people remaining here form that period so sorry we couldn't be more helpful. Warm wishes, Ray
