The directions to the accommodation were clear and helpful, and when I had difficulty figuring out the shower, my message was responded to quickly. The rooms had been cleaned very well and the kitchen and bathroom facilities were excellent (apart from having to chip away the ice from the icebox at the top of the refrigerator in order to close the door of the icebox after I had put my food in it that I had bought with me). The bed was comfortable and the bedding fresh and ironed. The room was pleasant with a heating system so I could change the temperature as I liked, which was much appreciated. The location was fine for my hiking weekend in the Brecon Beacons - it was a quiet location, so I slept well.

At James' Places we like to offer you individually styled accommodation that is unique.. The property is located within the town of Merthyr Tydfil so is in a town setting but within a minutes drive of The Brecon Beacons, Pen Y Fan, Bike Park Wales, The Four Water Falls and Zip World. This gives you the benefit of being next door to the countryside but all close to the shops, restaurants and pubs. Enjoying your stay is our main priority so we send out a list of suggested things to do and our favourite places to eat to help you make the most of your time with us with the confidence that these activities and places to eat have our seal of approval. We are a family run business and have been operating since 2016 and have 4 houses and 14 studios at different locations around Merthyr Tydfil. We have a loyal team who have been with us since the beginning and their priority is also to make you happy.

Brynawel is a beautiful Victorian house next door to Thomastown Park and has stunning views over the Merthyr valley.&nbsp;Brynawel is&nbsp;walking distance&nbsp;to Merthyr Tydfil town centre, the train and bus station, but far enough away for you to have a peaceful&nbsp;retreat. Merthyr Tydfil is&nbsp;ideally placed between Brecon Beacons National Park and Cardiff, the Welsh capital, it is also&nbsp;one of the most historically fascinating and beautiful regions of Wales.&nbsp;A&nbsp;fifth of the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil lays&nbsp;within the Brecon Beacons National Park giving the area&nbsp;some dramatic and breath taking scenery. Guests love to walk Pen-y-fan South wales' highest mountain and the jewel in the crown of the Brecon Beacons.Come and visit the breathtaking waterfalls. Bike park Wales is but a few minutes away. We also have the facility to store bikes
