The property is very rural and closer to Hay on Wye than Builth. If you like holidays that are mainly rural/scenic with small towns then this is good. Good for cycling etc Hay is a bijou town and Brecon appealing. We visited a few old churches close by, many from Norman times - fantastic. Art exhibitions in both Hay and Brecon. Eating in hay is relatively cheap and most appealing

We stayed at Builth 1) Because that was the location of the cabin.2) Builth is close to Rhayader and we wanted to see the dam and scenery there.3) Builth itself had a good choice of places to eat and is a nice town with good sized car park.It is easy to get around Builth and has a good choice of places to eat from cafes to restaurants. Can't say there is anything we would avoid.

The township is lovely, plenty of shops, cafes and pubs. Clean well kept town with a sense pride. Friendly too. There is the river with a long path running alongside it. This is used by the locals with kids or walking their dogs. Always people out and about.

A small friendly Welsh town famous for the Royal Welsh Showground with its wonderful events at different times throughout the year. Beautiful location within a scenic, rural, surrounded by beautiful hills and mountains, and close to Brecon Beacons National Park. Enough options for all needs, re restaurants, pubs and shops. But not too much to be overwhelming, nicely accessible for our short stay.

Beautiful spotless comfy accommodation.
Beautiful spotless comfy accommodation. We were staying for the Hay Festival and although off the beaten track, it was pretty close to Hay on Wye. The owners left some Welsh cakes and a bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. The accommodation is brand new and has everything one needs. Would highly recommend.

Quiet, picturesque lovely stopover

Lovely scenic walk along river great access with trains and Buses
Loved the show at the Royal Welsh showground
Fabulous cosy guest house with lovely welcoming hosts. The little touches like homemade cookies in the room were so nice - and the breakfast was outstanding with great service. Bought the homemade marmalade, delicious!
Driving up from the south it was a handy stop off on the way to Aberystwyth and North Wales. The village is pretty and there are a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return, next time it would be great to have more time to explore the area further.
It is in a beautiful location. The room we had (Glyndawr) was very spacious and well-equipped. The bed was super comfortable and the facilities were good. Having a fridge and fresh milk was lovely. The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable. Very relaxing and peaceful stay at the end of what had been a pretty busy few days travelling around West Wales. Having breakfast served in the room was a really nice touch. We stayed here some years ago (in a different room) and our second visit was just as enjoyable..
Great location as we were trading at The Royal Welsh Show Ground and was few minutes drive. And lovely to head back to a warm flat
The flat was spacious and well equipped with all creature comforts, the Flat was bigger than expected and we slept really well as its so peaceful there.
Highly recommended, will definitely be first choice if available to book again if we are attending more events in the area.
The stables were clean, well presented and had everything you need for a few nights away.
It was a lovely cosy chalet! Impressively clean too. The location on the riverbank was superb. The park was full of wildlife, including rabbits and so many varieties of birds, and the kids loved exploring the wobbly bridge over the river by the hotel! We would love to stay there again, ideally with warmer weather to make more use of the outside space (it was -3C when we got up this morning). We miss it already!
It was clean, spacious and homely. the views were great around the area and not far from Builth wells town so all the shops were local for any needs. the Caer Beris lodges and facilities were lovely and so peaceful. Already planning our next visit. While the hosts were not there, they were only a short message away and quickly replied with any queries we had and got them sorted.
Nothing fancy here, but you get the basics that should satisfy travelers who are passing through. The premises were clean and felt secure. The room supplied a comfortable single bed, shower, TV and wi-fi. Restaurants and pubs in the town of Builth Wells were easy to reach with a car. Always nice to find pet-friendly accommodation, and this one has ample space for dog walks.
So welcoming from the meet and greet at the door to carrying our bags up the stairs. The whole place had such a homely feel and you were made to feel like it was truly a pleasure to have you there. The prettiest little guest house, pristine, with great food and attention to every detail. I will definitely go back if I'm in the area again!
Stayed as convenient to RWAS Showground. Great that restaurant open even tho' not usually open on Sunday evenings -good choice of good food. Also appreciated flexible approach to early breakfast for those of us needing to get to showground in good time. Staff exceptional.
We LOVED our stay at the Cedars. Highly recommend it. The hosts are lovely, the inn is beautiful and charming and the breakfast was excellent. We spent a few hours in the community of Builth Wells for an evening meal and a drink at the pub and everyone was very welcoming.
Stunning location, cabin was well equipped, warm and cozy, considering it snowed nearly everyday!! Loved watching the pheasants and birds and a red kite swooping on prey in the open space. Great space to be able to walk the dog and she loved playing in the river.
The lodge was very clean and more spacious in the living area than we expected. The weather was a bit chilly in the evenings and it was good to have heaters to keep the place warm. We very much enjoyed watching the rabbits and birds and the lovely surroundings.
Breakfast was lovely, though felt a bit of pressure to be down at time specified the night before. The room was very nice and spacious, with privacy for each twin bed. Car park on site, and excellent location on the high street.
Location was excellent as my friend and I were using public transport and this hotel was near the bus stop. The decor was great as during lockdown the hotel had been refurbished. Room very comfortable and food was amazing.
The room was very large, very clean and very comfortable, the host even delivered breakfast personally to our table in our room, never had that before, if you are going to this part of Wales, then stay here, 4 star plus.
