Castle Lodge guest house is a family run bed and breakfast where the owners live onsite along with the paying guests. We offer a home from home experience where all the guest bedrooms are individually decorated. The original building dates back to 1901 where as the annex which houses 5 of the guest rooms was built on in the 80:s. We are situated in a quiet residential area 3/4 mile from Newport town centre, but a short stroll from the village of Carisbrooke with its Castle.

My husband and i were both born on the island and we feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Jerry and i took the guest house over from the previous owners in November 2005. Since then we have carried out major refurbishments in the building and currently still working on other projects inside and out of the building. Luckily Jerry is in contsruction so we can do most of the works ourselves.I suppose you could say D I Y has now become a hobby .I design and he builds. Other than this we love to travel and are fortunate to have been to many places. We have a love of live music and are keen concert goers and the IOW festival is one of our favourite. Very fortunate its on our doorstep. We have a large collection of IOW festival memorabilia which is on show in our breakfast room, a great talking point over a full English.

We are situated between the Capital town of Newport and the peaceful village of Carisbrooke. Our road is a quiet residential road which leads into Castle Hill for the English Heritage site of Carisbrooke Castle.The start of the Tenyson trail is a short walk away, along side many other cycle and rambling routes. Being in the centre of the island any where on the Island is no further than 13 miles. The main bus station is situated in Newport a 15 minute walk from the house. Our village high street has a supermarket, restaurants and public houses all within a 5 minute walk.
