An excellent location near to both John O'Groats & the coast along to Thurso as well as having Castle Mey just along the road. Attentive staff, friendly welcome, lovely room in a wee courtyard. Had dinner there both nights too.

Jean and William make you so very welcome and comfortable and for a small hotel the cooking and meals are very good. Nothing is too much trouble. Jean and William have only returned to the hotel this year and are doing their best to restore it as it was undoubtedly a little shabby before. Our bedroom was nicely kitted out and was clean. We very much enjoyed our stay. The photo of the hotel is a little cheeky... it is a picture of the Castle of Mey! However the location of the hotel is great for the Castle and the ferry to the Orkneys.

    Flora Unfortunately our disabled access room is out of action awaiting a new shower fitting but we have other rooms available on the ground floor with easy access and walk in shower. We will allocate the best room for your needs when you arrive.

  • Can we bring our small dog? Booking says 2 singles and one double but description says 1 single and one double. Will it accommodate 4 of us?

    This room sleeps 4 but dogs are not permitted in the main hotel building and the family room is located in the main building. We can accommodate dogs in our courtyard rooms.
