Very clean and lots of personal touches provided by the hosts

We stayed here for a week in October half term with our one son (7) and two dogs. It was a lovely, comfortable and cosy lodge in a beautiful setting. The site was fairly quiet due to the time of year. There was a welcome hamper waiting for us when we arrived which included some lovely treats but was also tailored to us as the owner had included dog treats and extra bits for our son which was a really nice personal touch. The lodge was also decorated with Halloween decorations which our son enjoyed! We brought our own bedding and towels but you can pay a little extra to have them included. The communication from the owner and all instructions on how to use everything in the lodge were clear. It included all things you need to have a lovely ‘home away from home’ stay. The electricity is on a meter, we spent £15 over the five days. We were using the appliances and heaters a lot, you would spend less in the warmer months.

Lovely lodge in a peaceful location. It was wonderfully clean and the welcome hamper and cupcakes were a lovely surprise. This lodge had everything you could need for a short break. It is well equipped, particularly the kitchen that had everything you would ever need) The beds were comfy and we slept really well. The site has a pool, mini golf (but you need your own clubs and ball) and a playpark. The hosts were very helpful and offered us a bedding and towel bundle (although this is £30 extra).

Our cabin was lovely. Beautifully furnished and wonderful little quirky bits and pieces. Spotlessly clean, light and bright. The welcome basket was amazing and the home made cake went down very well with butter on it and a cup of tea. Ann and her husband, the owners were delightful people and very understanding when through no fault of theirs I had not got the messages with instructions. They happily talked me through how to get into the cabin for us to enjoy our 4 days there.

We loved the lodge. It was smaller than we expected, but that didn't matter at all. The lodge was very clean, very tidy and had everything you could possibly need to run a household on holiday with children. We used the lodge as a base to explore the wider area. We chose you because you were so central and such a fantastic price. About 2 hours down to the south and 3 hours up north, 30 minutes from the West Coast. Perfect. The children both aged 15, enjoyed their stay, we just needed a place to cook, clean and rest. Parking was excellent for two cars and we had space on the front garden for the Kayaks to be safe.

Amazing situation in and amongst nature in a quiet peaceful situation. The cleanliness and decoration of the property were far in excess of expectation and the welcome basket of goodies was such a lovely, thoughtful touch.
