SpainThe first impression of the B&B was the delightful breakfast room that greets you as you walk in the door. Our room upstairs was as charming as in the photos on the website, with a lovely view over the central park and river Derwent. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The full English breakfast was sumptuous and tasty. Our host was warm, gracious and helpful at every turn. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The B&B is a short walk from the centre of Matlock and the railway station.

Located on the banks of the River Derwent, Cedar House offers bed and breakfast accommodations with easy access to the Peak District. Free parking is possible on site, and free WiFi can be accessed throughout the property.
Cedar House offers a homely, relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are decorated in neutral tones, and each bed has a memory foam mattress. All rooms are en suite, and all come complete with a TV and DVD player, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
Breakfast is served daily in the dining room and includes a full English, a lighter Continental breakfast and fresh seasonal fruits. Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for on request. Local eateries are within a 5 minute walk of the property, in central Matlock.
The Peak District’s walking and cycling trails are just a couple of miles from Cedar House. Hall Leys Park is a short walk across the river, and Matlock train station is 1,300 feet away.
