Firstly, the staff make this place. Everyone we met was a delight, they are so helpful and cheerful. The breakfasts are really good, plenty of choice and freshly cooked. You can tell that the new owners have spent a lot of money on the hotel and the rooms, although fairly small are nicely appointed.
Set in the South Downs National Park, in acres of rolling Sussex countryside, The White Horse is a country pub offering British cuisine, luxurious bedrooms and free Wi-Fi.

Food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent; it was good to have interesting options for breakfast (shakshuka; smoked trout; etc.) rather than just the usual full English. The room was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. There is plenty of parking available.
