Important: We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID through Know Your Guest. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.

Property info

The house is beautifully decorated, with original fireplaces and lots of natural light throughout the property. GROUND FLOOR: Front living room with a double sofa, armchair and Smart TV for relaxing after a busy day of exploring. Open plan second reception room oozes industrial - chic. Another space to relax, which includes a sofa (turns into a single bed), armchair, a second TV and dining table. This room leads through into a galley kitchen which lights up the rear of the house. Appliances include a fridge freezer, oven, electric hob, and dishwasher for when you fancy cooking at home. Plus a washing machine as well. At the end of the kitchen is a bathroom (with a shower only). FIRST FLOOR: There are two generously sized double bedrooms; one bedroom comes with a beautiful en suite bathroom. The original features continue upstairs with stripped floorboards, original fireplaces and doors. All our linen and toiletries are hotel quality so you'll have a wonderful rested stay. Outside there is a small courtyard for use in the summer months to soak up some sun, or for bike storage if you're cycling around York. There will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey! Fresh white bedding and towels are provided (hand towel and bath towel per person), as well as miniature travel sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap. Other items included are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll, which will last a couple of days. If wish to purchase more for your stay there is a Sainsbury's Local and Costcutters less than 5 minutes walk away on Bishopthorpe Road.

Neighborhood info

Just near the River Ouse, and in the quiet residential area next to trendy local shopping street Bishopthorpe Road. There's peace and quiet in Rowntree Park just a 5 minute walk, and through the City Walls the hustle and bustle of bars and restaurants and all the cultural tourist attractions the city has to offer. The main shopping street in town is across Skeldergate Bridge a 10 minutes walk. The property is very centrally located, just outside the City Walls. You can reach town centre by foot, walking along the river 100m and across Skeldergate bridge. You will find bus stops on Bishopthorpe Road tkaing you into the town centre and out to The Knavesmire. The train station is less than 15 minutes walk, via Nunnery Lane ( just follow the outside of the walls round) Taxis can be found at the train station or various stands in town centre. Local operators also provided with guest manual.
