• Charney Manor, a thirteenth century conference and retreat center, in the heart of the Oxfordshire Countryside offers ensuite accommodations, Free Wi-Fi and private parking. • At Charney, bedrooms come with a wardrobe/chest of drawers, Flat screen TV, hairdryer, Tea & coffee facilities and lovely views over the gardens or courtyard. Some of the bedrooms still retain their period features. Our extensive continental breakfast comes standard as part your Bed and Breakfast stay. • Guests have access to two acres of gardens, a library, walled courtyard and shared sitting room. There is a lower barn which is an excellent choice for guests that would prefer to eat in but choose not to take up our Dinner, bed, and breakfast offer. • Charney is 14.2 miles away from Oxford and 19.5 miles from Swindon. • Historical sites such as the Uffington White Horse and historic Kelmscott Manor are less than 15 miles away.

Property info

Charney Manor, a Thirteenth century Manor house is ideally located in the heart of the Oxfordshire country side, in the small english village of Charney Bassett, a short drive to both the famous Cotwolds and the Historic Oxford. Charney Manor offers comfortable ensuite accommodation with beautiful views over the three acres of gardens. Each room has a TV,hairdryer and tea & coffee facilities. Wifi is available throughout site (Free) and parking is freely available. We offer a lovely continental breakfast which is included in the price. Guests can arrange to have supper on site (with prior arrangement) or there is the option of the local pub, the "Chequers inn", which is conveniently located just a couple minutes walk away from the Manor. Charney is renowned for its high quality freshly produced meals, while also catering for a range of dietary requirements. All meals are served in our 13th Century, character filled dining room overlooking the gardens. Charney Manor is surrounded by 3 acres of beautiful grounds, an orchard, kitchen garden, sheep paddock and picnic tables. We have a variety of local walks.

As well as guests being able to participate in a variety of local Countryside walks, there are also places of interest nearby. The White horse Hill, located in a village in Uffington. The historic Kelmscott Manor. The Famous Cotwolds is also just a short drive away. As Charney Manor is not a licensed facility, however, we do not mind if Guests choose to bring wine or beer to drink with their meals (no corkage fee will apply) Charney Bassett has a lovely family run village pub, The Chequers Inn, which is just a few minutes’ walk away from the Manor. Charney is just a 30 minutes’ drive from Didcot and Oxford Railway Stations. Closest Airports are Bristol and Heathrow.
